Answers: Ok, first off: don't hysterics. Every job have a natural flow - things attain busy and then they grasp slow again. You have to cram to cope with the ups and downs.

That said, if you're bored senseless and hold been for a while, they conspicuously aren't using you to your full potential. It sounds like you've voiced your frustrations so at this point, I would recommend the following:

1) Find projects - look around and see what wishes to get done. Is nearby a filing cabinet explicitly the "Bermuda Triangle" for paperwork? Open it up and clean it out! Is the break room a wreck? Is the supply closet a nightmare? Don't be afraid to dive into something that others would consider "beneath them". If you're not doing anything, those small tasks can spread your time and help others as capably. People in the organization will notice and appreciate it. It may also spark ancestors to say - "Hey, she (or he) is super well-run. I have a work they can do."

2) Offer to Help - Send up the red flag to ALL of your collegues that you are willing and competent to assist. The chances are, you own someone in your bureau who is drowing in work and requirements a little help out. You'll probably have more work than you can manipulate once people know you are looking.

3) Study on your Own - read books, pocket e-courses, read blogs (like mine - The Executive Assistant's Toolbox - www.eatoolbox.com), find workshops and seminars you'd approaching to attend. Keep your brain active even if your body's not. As long as you are shooting up your professional capabilities, not a soul at the office should enjoy a problem with it.

4) Organize your natural life - Down time at work is a great time to write a grocery list, match your checkbook, gather your thoughts for a unusual poem, write in adjectives your friends birthdays on your calendar, etc. Do the small things you never have time for at home but want you did.

5) If you really don't have anything to do - and not a soul can offer you something to do - you own to face it that your career is in peril. No company can afford to keep somone on staff who isn't contributing. Either find a passageway to contribute - even if it's just cleaning the stock room or organize piles of paper. Otherwise, you're going to hold to find a new profession. Use the time at work to write up a list of adjectives the things you want in a opportunity. But don't go on the job-search at the department!! It's not appropriate and it could get you fired.
If you're not up to much adjectives day probably it's time to look for a new undertaking, where you will be valued and appreciated and given work to stretch you and backing a business grow?

If you are in rule and office support give somebody a lift a look at our site www.secretarialcareers.co.uk. We have thousands of job listed that could be great for your subsequent step on the career stepladder.

Good luck!! Amy
Sounds a little similar to my job.At my dated job I use to do sooo much and knowledgeable ALOT. Now all I do is answers phones and close to you surf web. I've asked for more progressive responsibilities but so far not to much. I serve out when asked but honestly some of the duties are so remedial and quiet honestly beneath me. I show (a) my old opportunity I handed stuff similar to that off to MY clerical assistants. I voice try hanging surrounded by there. Job marketplace is tough right now. Another suggestion is if you own 'portfolio' of past work and accomplishments bring it contained by and try showing the powers that be what else you are capable of.
But other keep eyes plain for other opportunities
