What job can I bring currently in need a High School Diploma?
Currently, I have returned to finish my large school tuition (not the GED) and I currently have a unpaid job at the "Panera Bread" cafe/resteraunt - but lately, I own been trying to find another profession beside better pay. Unfortunately, man as of yet, minus a high university diploma - I'm unable to sign up for job that require it. I have tried to look for job in the usual expected places - i.e - working as a teller, customer service, etc - but they usually are snapped up by people younger than me (I'm 23 years old-fashioned, btw). At the moment, I cannot think of any job that I could do at my age, but would have (even a little) better pay cheque than the one I currently have. If anyone have any tips as to what other jobs I could try, I would be grateful.Answers: Congratulations on going support to complete your high arts school education. Unfortunately, you are greatly, very predetermined as to what you can do without a giant school diploma and are probably doing the type of work that you can bring. I don't think near is much else you can do until you get your diploma. Even after, your options will be predetermined.

Hate my new commission, what to do?A little bit of background, I graduate in nouns in 2004 and in the blink of an eye landed a living in an investment supervision firm. Three years later I be still there, as a glorified secretary. I returned to academy in '07 to pursue an accounting designation and started work within an accounting firm two weeks ago.
I hate it. I enjoy no idea what I am doing. My accounting culture (academic) has not transferred over to the tangible world. Hell, I just worked on a client report (no idea what I am doing. Random clicking), and couldn't catch the balance sheet to match. I asked my boss on how to do something, wrote it down, returned to my desk clueless. Staring at my notes as if they be written in Greek. I don't know what to do. I want to quit/get fired because I consistency utterly incompetant.
Answers: just suspend in in that, you could be surprised at how much you actually know and know it once you give your self the opening. you are new, and at hand has to be a study curve, and I am sure your employers expect that...lately hang surrounded by there ask question, and dont try to act similar to you know it when you dont, just sensibly explain that
it will work out, jsut wait and see.
Settle down, lol. everything will be ok within time if you have the right mind set! Put your resume out in that and when you get the what you estimate is the right new work, GO FOR IT. Hang in in that for a little while and kep your chin up!

They should infer you are new. Sounds similar to your boss isn't much help... but you should try to bring back the information and help you stipulation from him/her. If that won't work, try to find a co-worker who can show you the ropes. Offer to help near their tasks as trade for their time.
Your training will come through when you learn some of the nitty-gritty and get your manager wrapped around the strange things in the concrete world. Realize much of this may be unique to the company you are working at presently. Things vary from company to company, and you a short time ago have to roll next to the punches.

You need to ask yourself why you are going for different career. Is it because you heard in attendance is good money or warranty in it?
Are you playing to your strengths or only going for whatever sounds natural or money-making?
Maybe you should give it some more time. Two weeks is not profusely of time. Hell, talk to you boss or a co-worker and see if they can't help/mentor you.
Did you do powerfully in the accounting classes, or be you lost at those as well? If so possibly accounting just isn't your piece. If you did well, you also own to consider that anyone who is new to a firm requires a "training period" It doesn't nouns as if you got one. You be just given work to do and told to do it. We've adjectives been within your shoes at a new situation. It takes a reliable amount of time to learn the situation and what's expected of you at that job. If you really abhorrence the work, then start looking for something else, but don't quit or bring yourself fired before you own somewhere else to go. Jobs are scarce in this day and age, I know because my husband just lost his and is looking for another. A paycheck is a paycheck, but you also owe it to yourself and the clients paying for your services to be sure you aren't doing them any mar. Sit down with your boss and explain to him/her that your're unsure about what you're doing and you would appreciate some oblige or supervision until you feel more comfortable. It's to his benefit as capably that you be honest, so don't be afraid. Then if it doesn't get any better, you can honestly voice you gave it your best shot, and possibly come to a mutual agreement near your employer to leave. We adjectives go to arts school with glorious ideals about what we want to do, but what they drill you there and what you pause up doing in the definite world are very different. A responsible business owner would be paid sure his employees are competent to complete the tasks given without undue stress and confusion. If not, he can be held responsible for your schedule, so at the very least possible, he should be providing the proper training for your position. Good luck and try to stick it out until you get a vein on something else for your own sake. You need to stand on your own two foot and sometimes that means doing things you don't want to do.
