Was I wrong to do this to my chronological employer?
I just moved wager on home from Las Vegas a week ago and had standard a job at my behind the times company prior to my return (which was to start today, Monday). I feel ok about this brief, it pays well but I would really close to to make a move next to my career contained by another direction. Last Friday I went on an interview beside a great company and this would take me surrounded by the direction I want to go beside my career. They would not enjoy a decision until hasty next week thus I have to make a conclusion if I wanted to run to work on Monday and potentially quit if was offered the opportunity OR tell my boss I be not moving forward. I called my boss Saturday (we are friends as well) and consent to him know the situation. He was smaller quantity than pleased (telling me I had "hosed" him, he be pissed and I could never work there again). I granted not to move forward.Another old company of mine have offered me a job if nought works out thus $ is not an issue.
Was it horribly wrong what I did to my boss even if I might make a better move for myself?
Answers: i dont conjecture you did anything wrong at all. Its not resembling you just didnt travel. you were asking for an inference and i think that he should hold taken into account that you have just moved hindmost and wernt sure what was going to be occurring. as your employer i can sort of see why he would be less consequently thrilled, but as your friend he should be happy that you found something that will relief you. i would say that you should not work at this company because you will quality guilty and like you enjoy to be there forever. i would vote, move forward, and if that doesnt work out, work with your other friend while you are still probing. at least you enjoy a back up!
I don't suppose so. He is acting like a primadonna, I reflect. You did the right thing by describing and not hiding it from him. You gave him plenty of see, so that he could find a replacement, if need be. He probably know people or interviewed other applicants already, so what is his problem? It's not close to he has to train you and lose you, you already know the opportunity.
Work is business, you do not owe your employer to stay with him forever. It's not a marital. I think you should hold told him to stuff it, and gone for the other opportunity. He'll probably turn around and disappoint you later, and you'll regret doing this for him.

Am I Choosing The Right Career?
I'm just within High School but I'm already thinking about what course and eventually a trade to take within the near adjectives. I've chosen to be an artist but I understand that it is an unsure job and financially difficult, but I love to be creative.. My parents are forcing me to lug Nursing since it's a popular job here within the Philippines or maybe Law since my father's a attorney. I need give support to! Should i follow the financially secure work and what my parents want, or should i follow my dream and my talent?Answers: Never fear, follow your heart. why dont you be a nurse or whatever what you want to be? as resourcefully as an artist i dont see why not i know one of my teachers be and she sold alot of her art work pick what you want do what makes you in good spirits

I muse you should go to arts school and do something that will most likely trade name you money and focus on this art thing on the side or once you enjoy some money to live off of for a while.

Art is something you can do starting off as a hobby and build from nearby. Those that make the most money do custom murals surrounded by private homes and in/on buildings. But you will need to work into it and build a following.

Not sure what you're gonna focus on contained by the world of art, but I'm a comic book artist and yeah man, it's difficult. Unless you're one of the rare few that knock the socks off an editor right out of the gate, it's a tough road, not gonna lie.
There are lots of ways to turn about it though, lately talk to those that've been doing it for a while.
But by adjectives means, if it's what you love doing, stick beside it. As financially difficult as things can get sometimes, there's nil else I'd rather be doing.
How is the artist scene contained by the Philippines? is there potential to elevate a lot of money? What big-hearted of a lifestyle are you aiming to have, would you be lively with little or would you a bit live a comfortable lifestyle? Would you be happy contained by a well salaried job (lawyer)? Those are question you may want to ask yourself before you cause a decision. However to me (and to be precise just my opinion) here is nothing worse than individual in a employment you are not enjoying, but logically everyone is different.
Have you thought about becoming an art trainer (you could create your own work on the side while still having a stable income)?
As an artist or individual artistic .. a few jobs could be available within this field but most artists (in vocabulary of Oil on canvas) get remunerated per artwork. Advertising, of course, comes to mind first.
Parents unanimously want the best for their child and totally ignoring that is to say not the way to run. Respect in the Philippines still funds something to the majority. However talk it through logically next to your parents and give clear and concise reason why nursing is not for you.
Being a lawyer within the Philippines I would think is a severely good way out and choosing annulments as a speciality will probably earn you very well-mannered money. He He ..
A lawyer much similar to an artist or a nurse has to be creative at times!
