Careers Employment Questions and Answers

Proffesional or not? please adsvise?

i'm sorry this probably doesn't go within this category but i got no answers within the appropriate one.
is it unproffesional to email your resume to a hopeful employer. Do you think it hurts your likelihood of getting an interview. It's for a rather hulking corporation, and she did provide her email address, along with her mail address. any input would help.

Answers: Yes, within this day and age of computers, it is really acceptable to email or even fax a resume...but I would do it on Word or a similar program so it can be printed out and look close to a proper resume when its received.

I sent out a resume by email to the other side of the world and was hired verbs unseen by the firm, without a formal interview. I go for 3 months and ended up spending 6 years contained by that country working for them!

When I returned to Canada, I sent out another resume by email and got a phone telephone call 2 days later to shift for an interview and was hired.

The solely time it might not be appropriate is if the position involves handwritten duties and sometimes the job posting will specifically request that the resume should be sent surrounded by writing. In that case, what you submit can sustain them assess whether or not your writing, spelling and grammar is appropriate for the brief duties.
If the employer gave you her e-mail address consequently I see nothing wrong next to it. All she has to do is print it out and she can record it with the rest of the resumes. I don't you did anything unprofessional at adjectives - although I do hope your spelling was better after.
