Answers: If you work at a pharmacy in a hospital you won't be dealing near customers so much as the hospital itself..are you SURE you don't want to do that? I would if I could.
I would say to look into A pharmacy living..

In a Wal-mart, Target, Heb, Hospital, or a Privaet Pharmacy..

I would start by making a resume and maybe posting one on http://Monster.com!!

Good Luck!!

Graduating contained by may from nursing conservatory (RN) advocate me!!?

i am not sure where i want to start out within the hospital. I currently work as a tech in PACU but am interested contained by switching to a children's hospital. i really like the nicu and picu, but be told to stick with med-surg first. do you believe specifically better at getting experience? or will new grads working within specialty aread gain just as much experience? give an account me about your experiences? appropriate and bad! also traveling or single hospital? hows the reimburse?

Answers: You have to shift where you touch like you are skilful of doing the job ably. I personally would not want to be slung out to the wolves so to speak lacking a medical surgical background. Physicians can be rude and obnoxious. Lets obverse it, they are the ones who seem to be running the show, and if you do not hold a background surrounded by medical surgical, you do not have a appropriate baseline to begin your nursing work.
I have worked surrounded by medical surgical nursing for the last 13 yrs. I know adjectives the physicians and their personalities and their quirk and habits and whether anyone wishes to admit it or not, they are catered to. They enjoy taught me so much following my nursing college there be so much more to learn. You havent even nick the surface fresh out of school.
I estimate a background surrounded by med surgical nursing is very baseline. Its the requisites of what you need to know to swot up to take vigilance of another human being. You spifty up your skills and grasp very obedient at things such as starting IV's, NG tubes, foleys, Bard ports, chest tubes, sterile suctioning, enema's, rectal tubes etc...and seeing the biggest and the nastiest stuff you have ever laid your eyes on ... rotting wounds so big you can lose your appendage up to your elbow and gunshot wounds which have blown past its sell-by date the side of the head. You cram compassion and how to instill hope in the worst situation. You cram the true meaning of compassion and develop a sense of complete sensitivity to other peoples loss.
I just now took care of a 90 yr infirm who we put in assisted living. She outlived her husband and adjectives of her children. There was no relations left for her. She be alone in the world except for us. It make my job worth it.
Single Hospital over travelling, almost certainly. Better pay, better alliance, better benefits. Salary depending on the area... within NYC you can make 100k+ beside overtime.

As far as where to start, the best experience is certainly the ER, but that's also the biggest pain within the keister.

Med-Surg is Generic, but can be very busy and underappreicated.

Pacu is cake...

Psych/rehab is cake...

Critical Care you inevitability more experience for, but aim for that... best pay, least possible talkative patients and most respect.

Good luck!! :)
The money is surrounded by Trauma/ER and that is where on earth you'll gain all your experience..you never know what your going to procure...the pace is soaring, and the Adrenalin is flowing...OR you can also go into Surgical/OR nursing...MERCY AIR,or a traveling R.N. is other good you procure to see the country, and your contract is usually 6 mo's at a time with adjectives expenses paid...it's adjectives good settle up.

CONGRATULATION'S AND GOOD LUCK!!
I strongly feel that unsullied grads should get at lowest 6 months to a year minimum of experience in a regular medical / surgical part before specializing and moving into a critical strictness environment. It's hard adequate being a unusual graduate and learning how to function, but totalling the stress of a critical care environment add a whole different dimension of stress to an already stressful time.

The experience you will receive from the wide open variety of patients and their conditions and treatments will give support to you in a quantity of ways. You will learn a firm foundation within assessment. You will learn the core protocols and procedures for functioning as an RN in an acute watchfulness facility. You will be able to develop your professional skills within a less-intimidating environment.

Many hospitals do not hire new grads into ICUs. A few might. If they are likely, and if you are really confident and are up for the challenge, after I guess go for it. You know yourself best. Good luck!
I own known some nurses who own gone straight into ICU & have done capably. But I would not recommend it. I think you would be capably served to spend at least a year contained by a med/surg position, preferrably adult. But if your heart is within peds, you could get a start nearby. It just might be strong later on to carry into adult areas once you enjoy established yourself in the pediatric arena. I aso would suggest you lurk a couple of years before trying your paw at traveling. There are lots of benefits to doing traveling, but the hospitals who hire travelers expect those nurses to really know their stuff. Nursing pays well. The income range vary depending on where you practice. The north east & west coast unanimously pay better than the south or mid-west. You can slickly make 75K or more/year.
