How are medical technologists licensed in Oklahoma?

Answers: According to the health care outlook information provided by the State of Oklahoma, they do not list a requirement for state licensing or registry. They do require technologist designation by ASCP, AMT, HHS or ISCLT.

While some states require laboratory personnel to be licensed or registered, others require only certification. Information on licensure is available from State departments of health or boards of occupational licensing. There is no requirement for Medical Technologist licensing listed under the Oklahoma State Board of Health or Borad of Occupational Licensing. Certification is a voluntary process by which a nongovernmental organization such as a professional society or certifying agency, grants recognition to an individual whose professional competence meets prescribed standards. Widely accepted by employers in the health industry, certification is a prerequisite for most jobs and often is necessary for advancement. Agencies that certify medical and clinical laboratory technologists and technicians include the Board of Registry of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, the American Medical Technologists, the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science, and the Credentialing Commission of the International Society for Clinical Laboratory Technology. These agencies have different requirements for certification and different organizational sponsors.

Hope this information helps.

Unfair dismissal?

If a woman was fired from her opening after announcing she was pregnant, would she own grounds to sue for unfair dismissal, even if the foundation given by the employer was something else?

Answers: It would own to be proven that her pregnancy was the actual reason. that can be complex.

the company would have have to have nouns reasoning to fire her for other things.

If the women feels she have a grievance file a claim for wrongful dismissal , some companies will wage out rather than spar it.

A wrongful dismissal case can be expensive , time consuming and obtain in the agency of the business so many companies are content to settle rather than be at odds.

You dont know until you try.
This would be hard if the employer have followed its rules for dismissal. If the woman was on a actions improvement plan, and she wasn't talk the plan, it wouldn't matter if she be a pregnant black woman veteran, blind and over 40. She could still get fired.

The woman would hold to prove that her pregnancy was the plea she got fired. Might be awfully tough.
it depends if she was fired because she be pregnant
:/
You should ask a lawyer.

$20 an hour may be a little much for your skills. I trade name a whopping $25 an hour with a Masters surrounded by Baton Rouge. The market seem to be way underpaying scientific people for some motivation. When I got my AAS within 98 I made $20 easy right out of college. But very soon students I teach solitary make 10 -15 tops beside an AAS. The tri lingual may help but remember $20 is starting to become top dollar for masses companies in IT and even Network Admins don't net that much in some places.
