A prospective employer is calling my reference. Do I probably hold the undertaking?

I'm in HR, but not the hiring side. So I'm not sure how this works. I interviewed twice for a errand and thought both interviews went terribly well. I found out today that my reference have be called. Am I probably going to achieve an offer? (Assuming my reference give me well-mannered references.. lol... and I of course hope they do!) I can't imagine they'd idle away the time if I wasn't in the top running.

I own a masters contained by International Relations, and how can I best utilize this amount?

I have tried to appply for learning postions at colleges, but they tend to have few opening, and working in the policy is very competitive--it is profoundly easier if someone went to an Ivy league conservatory, but I went to regional State University. Please lend a hand me with philosophy, I really worked hard to procure this degree.


Answers: I hold the same level. People from my school go to the following sectors:
- Government (Foreign Service) -- you basically need to overrun the exam, doesn't matter what conservatory you went to. Did you grant it a shot?
- Not for profit -- Doctors Without Borders and the like... They are other hiring, do you want to give fund to the world?
- Private Sector -- My choice. I work for an investment bank, which hires from adjectives backgrounds from engineering to business to liberal arts. Not sure if that's a consideration for you.
- Education -- a few folks become educators, but it is indeed tough to break into unless you are published.

Perhaps try Corporate America -- you can emphasize the international spirit of companies, global products, marketing diplomacy, etc. You must have widely read some of this in college...

If not, get some experience within a not for profit (assuming you can genuinely work for that cause), and later decide where on earth to go from within.

You get a masters degree, and don't know how to attain a job? Wow, academy really isn't as good as it used to be, is it. It's knotty to get a dutiful job, no business what the field, so stop making excuses, and be competitive. If it is too difficult, McD`s are hiring. It`s not too competitive near. You could be manager past you know it.

I'm going on an interview for a property officer position, what question should I ask roughly speaking the commission?

I am changing career from mortgage lending to hopfully property running, I have transferable skills that are adjectives in the property managment paddock but since I have never applied for this type of undertaking what questions would be appropriate to ask?

Complete job description.(because this vary from Mgt. company to Mgt. company, and from property to property). Like any other work, start off asking something like what the job involves and around the company etc. Is there a demanding market that the employer target? How much independence will you hold when working there? Would here be hard and speedily rules dictated from "upper management" or would you have the competence to make decision which you think would be best for profitability etc. When you capture to the benefits part of it, ask more or less the perks. Like a rent-free apartment or a company coup¨¦ etc. Be sure to get an perception of how many hours you will put surrounded by and whether the job will "pilfer over" your life.
