I got a 171 and score in the 98th percentile. I do not give attention to his grades were that great any. Why don't law school have standards close to med or dental schools. It seem like any retard can become a advocate.

I don't know in the region of easy entrance standards to law school, but in California, at lowest, it is very complex to pass the tablet exam. Some people here who graduate from statute school go by it only after several attempts. Others try a few times, become discouraged, and after move on to other lines of work.

Why Do Law Schools Have Such Easy Admissions Standards?

He told me he get a 143 on the LSAT, law entrance exam, he said it be a pretty good rack up, which placed him in similar to the bottom 40%. He was annoying me too because he be smacking his food. Answers: In my not so humble opinion, two reason.

1. Law schools are uber expensive! If a stupid kid can come up next to the cash, or the loans, they are more than glad to steal their money. Just like the Computer Institutes, Medical Institutes, University of Phoenix. It isn't more or less the education or preparing someone for a profession, it is 100% about the cold complex cash. Education is big business, near the guise of doing good.

2. Law school know the truth, but definitely don't recount applicants & students: the majority of graduates never surpass the bar AND nearly 70% of old pupils NEVER work in the legitimate field. EVER. If you poke about the internet you will read thousands of stories of people who are $100,000 or more surrounded by debt, graduated surrounded by the top 10% of their class and passed the bar making $40k a year as an admin for a company, or even smaller quantity as a paralegal at a big firm. Now realize that with the 2005 Bankruptcy Reform Act you cannot report bankruptcy on these loans even if you NEVER catch a job giving you the talent to pay.

So, if my paycheck (and don't kid yourself, admission counselors JOBS) depended on convincing the witless to drop tens of thousands of dollars, I would let the kid contained by too. Which is probably why I would never get hired as an admission counselor.

Reality, and what colleges tell you, are two utterly different things.

Was this personage actually ACCEPTED into a ruling school? It sounds as if he be simply bragging about APPLYING. Contrary to some of the other answers, directive schools are typically hugely selective.

In order to buy, and retain, accreditation by the American Bar Association they have to gather round certain standards, including state block passage rates. Most states require that you attend an ABA-accredited regulation school since they will even let you sit for a dowel exam. Law schools look at a few factors, which do not include an applicant's or an applicant's family's income, when decide on who to accept. These factor include college attended, college GPA, LSAT scores, bygone work experience, past undertakings, and extracurriculars, etc.
They don't have standards resembling med or dental, but they have a yawning raneg of acceptance criteron for respectively schools. That is why at hand are different tiers. Also, 143 is low, and he may not have be admitted to an ABA imperative school.
