Answers: When I was a moment or two girl, my dad worked for General Electric (before it went over the top) and he have his own secretary. Now his secretary also happened to be his cousin's wife and she be good at what she did. I contracted I wanted to be a secretary or admininstrative assistant (admin) because I loved the organization environment.

Secretaries/Admin, like moms, really run the show. Without them, zilch would get done ~ discuss about a raw high!

I love the potential to do my own work, without supervision and know that I hold the work ethic to get it done and on the dot. I did everything from answer the phones, to greeting customers, to typing briefs, legal papers, reports and consultants assessments. I loved how the profession changed, yet stayed like.

I also lucked out because you don't need to live contained by one area of the country for that. Be fussy what you choose as that could limit where on earth you will need to live. For example, job are hard to find contained by Ohio, but they can't hire enough relations in NJ. Make sure what you want to do is something you are suitable at, enjoy doing (especially long-term) and is to hand in covering you need or hold to move.

Good luck and have fun.

Do reckon this guys is still an ok boss of mine?

i work at subway for part time, seriously he doesnt scream at me, but the guys always study me on little things that i may forget like : ask customer stay here or to turn, refill the cup, verbs the table, clean those little bread piece from the oven, dont put too much onion on coupon bread etc. becuz the place is other busy and i do forget one or two.

wut piss me off is the guy reach a deal ** behind my put a bet on in front of the customer and product me look like a dumb **. i consistency humiliate and offended similar to tath

Answers: So you should know that this is not the correct way to behave within business. The only material way to concord with it though is to try to not forget anything so that he have nothing to pick on...however if you take to speak to his boss or during your review if you are not afraid of retribution is to say that he is a angelic boss for the most part, you lately wish he be more professional by bringing your faults or mistakes to your attention and not mention this to the customers as this make the company and you look bad to the customer.
Classic control freak. Create a problem to know how to handle it as the hero. This type is a chancy breed as far as your well mortal is concerned. I suggest you leave.

Media Studies level and experience: which job?

I've heard adjectives the jokes roughly Media degrees, so please merely answer if you have something adjectives to say. =)

I graduate with a Media amount in the summer of '06 and own since been working as a freelance writer in the games industry (writing, editing, contacting developers for interviews). Whilst doing my point I was also a volunteer writer.

My A Level grades in are also As and Bs.

My press is, other than journalism, what other job would I be suited to? Could I possibly squeeze my way into PR, marketing or promotion, or would they require more study again?

Any advice (particularly from someone who have been or is contained by a similar position as me) would be great.

Thanks!

Answers: Sure you can! More formal training isn't always necessary - experience and results often count even more. The trick is finding the right entry-level brief, and racking up relevant experience.

Whether it's PR, marketing or advertising: Don't focus on what you don't know - you can other learn the craft. Focus on what you already know put together the most of your experience, from the games industry, on the cutting outskirts of technology, along with lots of childlike, creative people, etc.

If you hold practical skills from your degree that don't really apply, focus on your great analytical skills instead: On how they back you separate the fluff from the real trends. Many companies stipulation employees who are plugged contained by to young consumers' requests and likes, or or what the adjectives of media/technology will be, and who can communicate that effectively to consumers and customers. That's where you come within.

Me, I've worked for 10 years as a journalist, writer and PR-guy in need formal training. Instead, I have a level in social studies (Yup, I return with jokes something like that too... ;)).

Good luck!!
