Denied severance...call for guidance.?
I was working at my commission for over a year. This past december my boss approached me more or less my school scedule for subsequent semester. I told her that I would like to thieve one of my classes during the day. The class singular lasted an hour and it would constitute as my lunch break. The first daylight of school I attain fired. I filed for severance and today it was denied. I talk to my old boss and she said that it be because of poor job reading and my school programme. I've never been written up and she agreed to my arts school schedule. I have a feeling like I be set up. I want to appeal the unemployment result. How does that work? And a friend of the family also told me to christen the news company to hurry things along. Do you expect this will work?Answers: You just record an appeal..explaining the whole story to the job loss office...I have an idea that I went through two writtten appeals up to that time I finally got mine. I know I have to prove I was surrounded by the right. But when your in the right .move about ahead and fight. It be worth it. That has be some years ago. I have be an inside sales rep for yesteryear two years. While I am good at it and enjoy made good money I detest the work! I get tired of quotas, have to make a guaranteed number of calls, calling peple who could protection less just about talking to me etc. Prior to my sale career I owned a tanning salon, be a agency recruiter and have a BS surrounded by psychology (worthless). My goal is to stir back to institution and get a 2nd BS or a Masters BUT are here any other jobs I can do contained by the meantime? When I post my resume online I only bring pegged for more sale jobs and when I try to apply to other types of opportunites I don't hold the experience. What do sales reps do AFTER sale?BTW...

Answers: Sales is not easy to get out of. I have a friend that went into bartending/waitress (she be a very attractive female) surrounded by a small bar to clear enough to put herself put money on through school. Her boyfriend help support her though. You could also try being a stripper to :)
It help if you know someone that could get you some experience within waitressing/bartending.
You may have to lift a lesser paying duty at first, but you do have a marketable level. Consider working for a company like Home Depot or Lowes as a human resource director. Consider working for a hospital or university as an H.R. specialist who trains and give orientation to unusual hires.

Since you own two successful years of experience in sale, have you thought of switching over to marketing? If you close to it, you could eventually do quite powerfully in a ample corporation if you specialized in marketing and, at your young at heart age, you have time to swot up it from the ground up, while you continue your instruction in that direction. (There is pretty a difference in sale and marketing, even though many empire don't understand that. Unfortunately, some companies don't get the drift that, either.)
Also, beside your degree contained by psychology and experience in sale, perhaps the media hype world would interest you? If you're creative, that could be a challenging, but greatly interesting career.
I read your predicament as far as your degree go. I've had this same conversation beside my youngest daughter, who got her amount in psychology and is immediately working on her masters. She chose to take a position at the university, working next to the students, and she finds that rewarding. My guess is, that's where she'll stay.

There is nothing wrong next to sales, per se. There is a great deal wrong with how companies can be run by jerk.

Could anyone tell me if relatives who read resumes like to see your interests on it?nought too detailed, just a nonspecific overview, but does it help or obstruct your job prospects near the employer?
Answers: If it is not job related I would not put it. I infer people should be exceedingly observant when they are on their interview. For example, if you notice that the interviewer have a picture of their daughter/son playing soccer you can bring up the fact that you are a volunteer coach. If you notice that some a picture of them fishing with a colleague you can bring up the reality that you like to fish etc.. I would simply bring up interests if you notice something or the personality mentions something where you can fashion that connection beside them
That is outdated and no longer applies; potential employers want to know lone job related info and your spare time and hobbies are not of interest to them. Today, it looks unprofessional to supply interest/hobbies.
