Has anyone else have a problem getting into a strength realted program such as RN or Dental Hygienist?

I am applying for a Dental Hygienists program that is completely competitive, but my grades are average. We are talking A's and B's next to 2 C's. Since this program only accept 32 students, I am wondering if I even have a hit and miss. The application deadline is Feb 15, so it is not like I can pinch any classes and get greater grades in in good time. Most of the science classes were A's and B's; with the sole purpose 1 C. I received my evaluation stating that I met all of the requirements surrounded by order to be considered for this summers class- but this did not plan that I was permitted.

I know that in some of my concluding classes, I had fellow students who be going to apply for the nursing program and were impressively worried that they would not get contained by. This program while on a larger acceptance go up, only take the top 90 students out of about 350-400 applicants.

I'm basically couious if anyone out there did not put together it in on the first time around, and if you worked firm and reapplied. If so did you get surrounded by?


Answers: I'm applying to a local program too. Have not been agreed yet, but hope to find out in the next 6-8 weeks.

Any job out here contained by E-business\commerce?

I'm living in the chicago nouns for now, but likely to relocate. If anyone knows nearly any jobs please consent to me know so the i can apply. Some area that really catch my attention are consulting and marketing. But willing to try anything as long as it's dealing next to e-business\commerce


Answers: What are your qualifications surrounded by e-business/e-commerce? That's going to be important. Can you code? Do you enjoy experience in PPC guidance? Do you have experience contained by email marketing? Do you know (i mean in actual fact know, not aware of) SEO? Do you know how to read and analyze data from trellis analytics like G00GLE Analytics, Webtrends, Omniture, etc.?

These are the big things e-business/e-commerce companies look for. If you can one and only bring in sale or customer service, you'll need to look for those opportunity. Those are definitely out at hand and all you stipulation are sales and/or customer service skills.
I work contained by Internet Marketing, but it's hard to obtain a foot in the door. If I be you, I would start by getting a job at an agency. Agencies are wonderful sources of experience contained by almost every possible type of online marketing, after a couple of years at one, I had to turn down situation offers that be coming to me!

I started as a receptionist and begged for promotions and responsibility. I'm glad it did it!

Calling contained by sick..?

I've been at my assignment for almost 8 months, work full time yet I am not eligable for compensated sick days yet. I own called sour of work twice and ended up have to leave rash once because I was sick. They be short handed surrounded by the beginning of the week and asked me to come contained by to cover for someone else who called within sick. I said sure and told them what time I can come in it. I joke that now I'm going to own to call contained by sick..well, I do own to call contained by sick. Yesterday, I slipped on ice departure my house and did something to my back. I am within so much pain.
I'm paranoid to nickname off because I be very sick pay for in december and tried it and my organizer put me on the phone with my boss and my boss said, "I can't allow any send for ins" and convinced me to come in, and i moved out early.

So, I own no paid sick days, just about ever call rotten unless it's bad, and I hurt my put money on and just want r & r. Is in that some kind of authority if you call stale with a legit principle, and a boss hassles you just about coming in?


Answers: Aahhh.. by 8 months I'm pretty sure you should own at least one or two sick days minimum??

Check beside your HR or contracts about that issue and build sure you get what you be promised when you were hired.

Go to the doctor and receive a doctor's certificate. If you hold one of those there is no bearing that your boss can penalise you or hold the fact that you be sick/injured against you.

What kind of chore is this by the way? If it is a more physical situation like waitressing or something, afterwards definately there is no route you could go to work next to a sore back.. if they insist explicitly a law suit waiting to develop, and they can't possibly be that stupid... If it's more of a sit down office available job then I would apprehend why they may think you can still work, but even sitting up at a desk can wreak further strain on your back, if they own a OH&S or HR department, they should know this, and would encourage you to stay home, desire medical help, and gain better asap.

Your boss sounds kind of rude or unmoved if his policy is "no call ins", but even the busiest establishment largely understands that when you're sick, you're sick and you can't back that.

They sound particularly unsupportive and unappreciative of their staff and accordingly probably do not have much business sense. I would stimulate you to immediately aim alternate employment.

On a side note... you nouns like a being who bumps into things and gets hurt/sick/cut/bruised like mad... one of those clumsy people who blame others... you're not, are you?? And if you are, I would breed it a personal goal to work on that more, individual safety conscious, even at home, and more alert and aware.

That's a unnatural place you work.
If you're sick then you're sick and you stipulation time off to get better.
Maybe they have an weird policy of not giving you paid sick time, but I don't see how they can prevent you from human being ill.

Sick days are not mandated by tenet. They are gifts from your employer. You can have 12 doctors writing action and that wouldn't matter. Your boss could fire you for not showing up to work.

Some companies never present sick days. Some only confer sick days after one year. My company makes human resources wait six months to be eligible for sick give up your job.

You would not qualify for FMLA because you haven't been near a year and FMLA only works for serious medical conditions.
