If I found apay check from 2005, do they own to reissue me a check?

While looking for tax papers today I found a reimburse check that I forgot to cash from sept. 2005. It say on the bottom check void after 90 days. If I phone the corporate office, will they reissue the check so I can brass it or am I screwed? grrraarr, how frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

Answers: I would only try to call the corporate organization. It is definitely negated but maybe they will work beside you. You won't know until you call. Good Luck.
uh, you answered your own grill.

VOID AFTER 90 DAYS

you can call the corporate organization, but they will laugh at you.
Obviously, you do not necessitate the money. Put it back surrounded by the pile where you found it.

You can phone up the corporate office, but they will titter at you.
They should honor the check and re-issue. But are you sure you never received a replacement check? It would be embarrassing if you did, and they will check on that past re-issuing.

They might actually be contained by the wrong on this. They must turn uncashed checks over to the state -- haven't you seen those list of names published contained by the newspaper? Maybe your first name is on one of those lists?
yes they will hold to reissue it because you cannot cash an outdated cheque and good luck I hope that they will.

Firstly phone them at their payment role office and ask them to check their archives. Then write in formally and convey them the copy of the cheque with any proof that you enjoy.
Apparently you didn't miss that money or you would have cashed it when it be issued.
I am not sure about the canon but it wouldn't hurt to ask the company if they can reissue the check.
i think it'd be better to nickname the corporate and tell them the total thing contained by a nice way.
no you're not screwed. it is your right to enjoy that check either cashed contained by or deposited.
Contact them as soon as you can and explain the situation. If they owed you that money, then you technically are still due it. It might cart some time since they will have to scour back annals, and they might say they can't do it, but hopefully you will find someone from the company who is of a mind to help you.
You're credible screwed. I had this occur once to me, although it was single about four months previous the 90 day null and void date. I had to solicit them to give me my money, but they weren't obligated to do so.

Edit: I have gotten the paycheck the day in the past entering the Army and hadn't cashed it. I didn't realize I still had it until almost 7 months subsequently when I was on check out of. They weren't going to re-issue the check to me but I guess they felt it surrounded by poor taste to maintain it from me given the circumstances.
I think it may depend on what state you live within, or what state they are doing business in. In Texas, they are supposed to distribute that money to the comptroller at the end of the year, the year finish after the 45/90/120 days. When you contact the employer they will direct you to the comptroller. Unfortunately you only return with the amount of the original money due, no interest etc. fortunately Texas is very serious around it's residents getting paid. WWhhHHooOOttTT TEXAS! (If you are a resident of Texas this ruling is applied to any corporation to include those incorporated and or residing outside the united states.) Cause Texas get it like that...only how we roll.

Call your employer, if you hit a wall call your state employment organization, they will know.
You can call the company and try to restore your health the funds but the company has no requisite to do so.
Sorry!
You can call and ask them to reissue the check. The final outcome is up to the company.
There are so many answers here that are to a degree accurate and that makes them wrong. This is a simple press of contract law. A debt is a debt and it must be honored regardless of the situation.

The invalid restriction is a convenience to facilitate "general ledger" reconciliation and have nothing to do near the corporate obligation. Until wage and acceptance have been self-righteous, compliance of the "mutual consent" stipulation is not complete. It is only the imaginative instrument that is no longer valid.

Actually, confirming this will nick very little time. Just appointment and say you requirement to make an appointment to exchange your check for a current one. Anything similar to the epic process cited above will be the result of inefficient personnel and not the passage of time, or any inferred waiver of your right to collect.

While this situation may be unusual to you, it is an every year reconciliation in the accounting world and will merely be a minor inconvenience. Enjoy your Easter windfall.

I can`t stand my different career!?

Answers: I hear you, but most job have some aspect that "tests" you, so this is right preparation. Not sure how long you've been at hand, but it's important to enjoy some continuity on your resume, as future employer like to see that you can hold a undertaking. If you really don't like it, look around for something else since quitting.

Sounds like you're contained by school -- why don't you check the craft development department to see if you can find an internship in your pasture? Colleges like to give support to you find such work, and it will be good contained by the long run to help you find a full time livelihood after graduation.

Good luck!
Sounds like you're working at a restaurant...my first chore was a hostess at the Ground Round. I insufferable it too.

Have you considered other options? What do you hold experience in? Maybe working from home might be an picking?
