Careers Employment Questions and Answers

I'm 16 and I really want a opportunity, but... [restaurant related]?

I'm really scared to work at a quickly food restaurant for some reason and I don't know why. I've never have a job [I've volunteered] and swift food restaurants would be the easiest places to get hired, but they give the impression of being too fast-paced... I don't know. If you've worked in a briskly food restaurant, how was your experience?

So far, I've applied at...

Kroger
Albertson's
Walgreen's
Six Flags

Answers: You don't enjoy to work at a fast-food restaurant if you don't want to. You're a guy, so you must be interested in technology, right? Places close to Best Buy are always looking for team. Even if you're not necessarily ready to give support to customers, you could always work as a desk clerk. Keeping up on the new video games and music sure beat working with greasy burgers :)
No, i own never worked at a fast food place.
But im 15, it is sturdy to get hired when your youthful. Cause they think you inexperienced, and yada yada. But i've voluntueered at a hospitals for couple of years. and I enjoy good grades. So i of late put all of that contained by my resume. And i handed a couple of those to places.

Also, i hold a friend he works at Wendy's in the shopping precinct. He says sometimes its pretty hectic, and you hold to be prepared so anything. Like angry customers. You totally feel approaching yelling rear legs at them, but you have to remeber that you cant unless you wanna acquire fired lol.

So hope it works out for you! Good Luck. =)

After a phone interview, should I follow up near a telephone?

and if so, when? My interview was exactly one week ago, they said they'd be contained by contact "within a few working days"... At what point do I phone the company, and what should I utter? It's a grad scheme so at hand were loads of applications and I don't want to seem to be pushy, but at the same time I don't want to be thinking nearly it all the time...

Answers: yeah.. ida call on the third day.. fourth morning at the hottest.

just ask if they have any further questions in relation to reaching your contacts, personal references.. that biz.. and it be a pleasure talking next to them and you look forward to talking next to them again.. ask if theres anything else they need from you.
I'd phone very soon if I was you. At least possible they know that you are interested in the see, and at least it could put your mind at rest one mode or the other.
Good luck
Yes, you can call and you should. 3 days after the interview will be a obedient timing.
My suggestion is to "sandwich" your conversation with "thank you":

1. Thank you for the opportunity..
2. I am impressed with/or attracted to work .. (be sincere; nearby must be something which attracts you, otherwise you will not bother to call again)
3. Has in attendance been any verdict made?
4. [If no decision have been made yet] Will it be OK for me to phone again within a few days?
5. Again, thank you for your nature attention.

Good luck,

I would call and describe them that you wanted to follow up next to everything. Just like the other personality said, I would ask if the position has be filled however.
