What is waitressing similar to?
I've recently applied to J&R's, Applebees and Ruby Tuesdays because I'm desperately within need of money and figure waitressing would be fun because I like to be hurriedly paced and socialize next to random general public. Any former/present waitresses out there next to tips and stories?Answers: I waitressed for 5 years and put myself through college with the money that I earn.
It is a perfect undertaking for someone who likes to socialize and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
The hardest thing to seize used to for most people is person on their feet adjectives day. I be young when I waitressed, so I didn't mind it. All that running around kept me contained by great shape to.
It is important to be organized and to know how to multi-task. You can make really accurate money depending on where you work.
My niece is a waitress at one of these restaurats. She's other talking roughly speaking how some people merely don't tip. It doesn't matter how the service is. It's really frustrating when it is unmistakable that these people can afford to tip.
Good luck.
Waitressing isn't fun at adjectives.
It does seem kinda galmorous within a weird process, but it's not. You just failure up taking all the crap from customers.

I'm quitting my living. Can I pass my employer lone one week's become aware of instead of two?
There's a few reasons why I want to do this:* Giving one-week become aware of would make it more feasible for me to be able to work until my desired close date
* I'm afraid my company, if they have adequate time to play with, will ask me to cross-train someone for my position (something which I do not want to do)
* I want to know how to leave my position quietly and unceremomiously, minus the usual mushy garbage and sentimentality from co-workers (especially womanly ones) about my going away. The longer the advance awareness, the more likely that the word will be leaked.
* Besides, let's suppose (hypothetically) I be to have a heart attack and drop limp tomorrow. In this case my employer wouldn't hold one week's notice to spread my spot anyway, would they?
Answers: not knowing your exact position , let me ask you this, would they distribute you two weeks notice if they be going to fire you?
if you got something better creased up then jump for it. Just make sure it it better. You cant re-cross a adjectives bridge.
two weeks is customary. they can't make you stay in that if you're quitting. the only entry you should really think more or less is if you have any intention of going stern, should your other plan fail, or if you're still want to look pious.
if you don't give a hoot going on for your current job, later go for it.
The two weeks is a courtesy. If you come up with you can do it without making your employer tender a unpromising reference, I read aloud do it.
You've got a undertaking lined up, you're noticeably leaving for a point.
Dear Friend,
Don't BURN the Bridges.
No matter how awful your previous employer be, no matter how fearful your boss was, no business how evil your co-workers were, never ever burn your bridges down you!
I agreed with previous answer that you should dispense them 2 weeks notice as a courtesy and show your attitude. Please alwaz hold your image perfect may be your new combined company asked for reference from your finishing company then how could you ask them......
So Look forward, not to the rear... Just sincerely thank them for all the facilitate they have given you. Do your terribly best work in the time you hold remaining with the company, and trade name them realize what a gem they are losing.
Good luck next to your future endeavors...
The right point to do is give two weeks interest. Yes, you are right, you will be bombarded with everlasting questions but we've adjectives gone through this. Politely smile and state it's time for you to move on but will hold in touch, etc. Keep surrounded by mind, someone always know someone so be careful roughly speaking burning bridges. Never know when you'll need a favor or citation. I would give a two week sense (if you can) or if you can't, explain the next position requirements you sooner than two weeks but agree to training someone else. It is the right thing to do.
On the other paw, I've seen folks leave for medical reasons/emergencies. They be not able to confer two weeks notice (hint)
Two weeks.
They give you a job when you looked-for it, didn't they?? So try thinking of someone other than yourself.
I appreciate where you're coming from - my consideration period is two months and I'm merely a PA!
The fact is, your employer have put this notice time of year into place to help safeguard themselves - it's single fair that you oblige train a replacement, after all, the company trained you!!
Although it might be surrounded by your contract to work two weeks, it's not law, thus you could approach your employer and ask if you could leave after one week. Do you enjoy any annual leave to pilfer? That could be taken in lieu of catch sight of.
Finally, and I really don't recommend this but it's fact, you could basically leave after one week. It's importantly unlikely that the company will take conduct against you breaking the contract as it's too costly and it's illegal for them to dispense you a bad hint - they would just supply you a basic, what you earn, days off sick type of article instead of a personal one.
Two weeks isn't really all that long. If I be you, I'd work it, train the new-start and look forward to starting my new living. You don't want to leave below a cloud and you could always ask for no fuss to be made.
i recommend you tender him 2 weeks. otherwise, when another employer calls him to verify your employment, you would not want him to be a quotation for you as he may say something cynical about you.
How do you become a flash animator? should i quit?
I have a level in animation, and i know flash really economically, Im even working voluntarily as a flash animator to gain experience and have worked as a symbolic designer before, but what else could i do to revolutionize my chances of becoming a flash animator?or alternatively: should i confer up and try something else, after all theres more to vivacity than spending 24 hours a day for 6 yrs concentrating on your work, i would most definately be happy working within any job as long as i have money and time to do things that i enjoy doing beside the people i love.
i cant work for nil forever my family is poor, they have need of me...all ive ever done is work towards this objective, the other aspects of my life hold been put aside, i could hold used that time to be with my family unit and help them. any warning?
Answers: Why don't you try to learn Actionscript and other pattern scripting languages such as HTML and CSS?
There is a lofty demand within Flash Designers and Developers.
Also, showcase your Flash works to others to be a contractor as a Flash Designer by doing animations and websites for other businesses.
But avoid Flash intros, sounds that can be controlled, and take a network design class. You can even work with an media hype and marketing agency to showcase and promote yourself as a Flash designer. Get the additional skills you want to be an effective Flash designer -- it never hurts to revise more skills. But also balance time beside your family. They want you. And you need them too.
why not set up a website selling your self as a flash animator?
I hate flash when it is used the wrong instrument, - website intros, but i think it is totally good for showing how things are done, close to how to build a wall for exmple, you see some ground, a trench appear, foundations laid, bricks laid etc, i wish i could do it.
You could try Autodesk Maya 8..5. its going on for 3d modelling, rendering, dynamics and everything 3 dimensional. i am aan animation student myself and i understand what you are going thru. THERE IS NO PROGRAMMING KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED. ITS EASY TO USE.
