Computer programming, worth it? stressful?

I'm currently a high arts school student, and was interested within entering the jobs contained by the computer field. So to adjectives of you programmers out there, is the assignment rewarding? Stressful? What exactly is it?
Thanks in finance for the answers

Answers: Hi there,

I've be programming professionally for about five years and can make clear to you that it's a very characteristic field to progress into. There's really nothing else similar to it at all. If you're committed about computers, the internet, figure things out, or finding new ways to do things, consequently you're probably headed surrounded by the right direction. Overall it's a rewarding career choice, but remarkably fast pace, always shifting, and can be quite stressful at time if you agree to things get to you. The living market, at times, can be particularly competetive and cutthroat. If you're looking for a job you can do for 5 years and consequently kick backbone and relax because you know everything about your work, this isn't a job for you. I tend to learn at lowest one new point every day, and sometimes several. It's not a glamorous chore and only other programmers will construe most aspects of your daily enthusiasm, but I enjoy it. You will hear seriously of talk roughly outsourcing to India and whatnot, but if you're strong and have excellent communication skills, the offshore marketplace cannot compete.
This isn't a good enclosed space. The jobs are going to India and other countries. I know heaps programmers that are unemployed. Also, the salary and benefits given to programmers just preserve going lower and lower. There's no job protection. Companies believe anyone can do computer programming and don't want to pay abundantly of money. I would not recommend this field to anyone. I'm sure you are going to carry similar answers.

Good luck.
Programming is only rewarding if you love it, love it. Otherwise, choose a different profession. Programming is customers or upper admin thinks of a business idea/plan/function and requests a programmer to develop it into a functional and living application/program/website. The way I see it, programming will put you on the hurriedly track to making good money but unless you love to program every daytime for many copious many years, it won't be instinctively satisfying.

Programming is a profession next to an expiration date; you'll love it at the beginning but as you receive older and climb further up the virtual corporate stepladder, it'll wear you out.

Waiting for a hail as after interview?

After you have your interview and they voice they will call you wager on in a week to recount you if you have be sucessful or not, do they all usually try to telephone call the ones they dont want earlier and afterwards call the one who they are going to hire final ?

I guess my question is if its the 6th time and they havent called nonetheless, does that mean i would be contained by with a honourable chance?

Answers: Doubt they will in reality call the ones that didn't procure the job. They will solely call the one they are hiring. If they speak will call surrounded by a week, and if you still didn't get a telephone from them in one week, consequently take the initiative to dispense them a call and find out if you find the job or not. You can in recent times ask nicely and professionally by dictum "just considered necessary to touch base if you hold made up a decision concerning the position yet, as I enjoy offers from other companies but you are my first consideration...etc..." Good luck!
That's in general the case. I've gotten post when it was gratitude but no thanks inwardly a couple days.
If you don't here anything after the seventh day I would sort a call to the company for a status check. You also enjoy interests and need to verbs with your things. Don't permit them set that kind of tone beside you.
Be Pro-Active!
Give THEM a call!
Don't EVER sit around waiting for things to ensue!
MAKE it happen!
If you don't bring back hired, it's OK!
Move on, and try somewhere else!
YOU are in control of the means of access your life go!
