What do retail stores look for when hiring an Assiatnt Manager?
I have an interview tomorrow to be Assistant Manager for a store I'd really close to to work at (Costa Blanca)What would the manager be looking to obtain out of me from this interview? I need adjectives the tips I can get.
I've have previous management experience, but not surrounded by a steady retail environment.
If there is a mock int. I can look at that would be great.
Also, what can I expect to be salaried for this position? I dont want to check websites, i want to know from peoples personal experiences.

CMT is a young at heart and playful retail concept is in response to the growing constraint for individual expression. The management troop is comprised of highly skilled, retail experienced, enthusiastic individuals each, within their own right, contributing to the success of respectively of the brands.
That being said surrounded by your interview they will likely be looking for a
regulation team accomplice who is highly skilled, have retail experience, passionate and who contained by their own right will contribute to the success of respectively of their brands.
You will be asked along with your experience contained by this field roughly speaking your ability to govern staff, your goals, strengths and weakness. They may give you a scenario and ask you how you would switch it. They may ask you if you have any optical merchandising experience, any special interest courses you've taken that might benefit the store eg: fashion, art, business or human resources..
CMT, I believe holds regular meeting to discuss maximizing sale, up coming promos, etc. You may be responsible for scheduling, opening or closing the store and supervising staff.
They also expect their staff to right to be heard a lot abut their company surrounded by the way they present themselves.
As for retribution - many stores are categorized by the volume of sale of the stores. Those with a large volume of sales enjoy better paid manager while lower volume stores have a lower gross. You will primarily be doing the same things as the "regular" workers. Stores currently operate with a skeleton crew to work everyone as tricky as humanly possible. There will be no time for you to do your managerial tasks during business hours. You will be helping customers close to everyone else.
They will expect you to catch up on adjectives your paperwork and crap in a hurried fad after close, or more likely on your own time.
An assistant arranger is expected to basically work for free partially the time, don't get compensated much more than the regular staff, and is the first ones to be laid off when they inevitability to cut costs.

Is it better to own a art you've the skills for but not really want, or a considered necessary occupation but little skills
Even though I'm still in high-ranking school, I am completely close to going to college and I've been wondering something like picking a major. In establish to help pick my chief, I look even further down the road about what occupation paths I might possibly transport. I want to be a nurse practitioner (so I'd need a bachelors level and graduate school for nursing) or a advocate (which I'd major contained by psychology-to earn a bachelors degree-because that's what's required to get into directive school). I read about both professions and the majors that one might possibly cart to reach that occupation - both were incredibly interesting to me. However, after reading about the nursing through (which of course, is strong within the science field), I was rethinking something like it because for one, in college right now, I'm not the best contained by science (although my grades are decent). So then I looked at pre-law, which mostly have a lot of critical reading/writing, which I don't mind (I excel at both english and history).Answers: you own to be happy. you can swot up any thing, I did and be handsomely rewarded
Since you are young, why not do a 'living shadowing' within a hospital or a statute firm. Student interns are usually welcome surrounded by those environments, IF you represent yourself well and agree to them know that you'd like to 'see' if this would be a dutiful career fit for you.
Should you prefer to get into drug? Well, EMTs and Med Techs are almost like nurses, do closely of life abiding in the grazing land, and do make those smile. Law? Field is crowded and will always be crowded. Your grades and situation will count heavily towards you getting into a good regulation school after undergrad. Psychology? I've hear one or two who have be in that pen in undergrad not that merry with it. It won't 'pay' unless you count on working for your Masters and after PH.D AND work in something to create some money to pay your bills at like peas in a pod time after you graduate.
Bottom line? Minor within something you enjoy and can also use as a survival skill. Major contained by something you like terrifically well, and can put up near all of the mines contained by the minefield on your 'way' to your major. Just remember, not everyone will be glad to see you; but you will move a good indication IF it is something that you know that your are into as far as your career roadway.
Also...and this is a biggie...you may have to 'switch' career down the line, or add on to your skills. Never hurts to have some extra skills somewhere. They spawn great icebreakers and can front to other opportunities.
