Problem Co-worker?
Question:I am in a small department with two cubicles. My cubicle mate is amazingly loud and controlling. We are also on the same squad. She has be here 2 years. I have be here since August 2005. Any time someone calls on the phone, she asks who it be and what they wanted. If someone from our project call, even if it is something that falls under my role contained by the team, she answers them and does not refer them to me. She is incredibly brash and not business like. I am concerned something like being associated next to her and the reputation she is giving our project and team. It sounds to me like you've already utilized your manacle of command. Good. Your next logical step would be to progress to your HR department, explaining that the problem hasn't been address, much less resolved. Make it clear that your work and that of your entire troop is suffering. Of course, you might want to approach your immediate supervisors for a second time to let them know that you're thinking of going to HR. Be elegant about this; you'll essentially want to avoid the impression that you're giving them an ultimatum . . .Also, you didn't mention whether you'd truly addressed these issues beside the co-worker herself. What if you could nip this entire thing within the bud with a simple face-to-face chat? You never know!

Big time boundary issues! Have you expressed any discomfort to her roughly speaking these incidents? Since you have no supervisory funding on this, I would tactfully try to discuss (one piece at a time!) with her. Maybe beside the reason down the issue for you (such as, when she answers questions on your segment of the project, it puts you at a liability, as you will be the one to get blamed if it go wrong) will make her try to become conscious rather than be protective. Sometimes other people cannot see the effects of their schedule.
In case she is intentionally sabotaging you, put together sure to keep a log of what she does, when, who witnessed it,and any effect it have. This is CYA in skin something does happen, and/or proof for your superiors if you can't bring in any headway with her yourself. You really do want to put her in her place. I would approach your supervisor an additional time. If he/she refuses to step surrounded by let them know that you will be confronting her. Do it as open-handedly as possible, but firmly.
