But honestly, explicitly really lame. It could depend on several things such as the type of job you're going for. I suspect that since you said "second job", it must be something at a store or something close to that; sales, retail, hospitality. I stingy, clearly, you're not an engineer and trying to procure a second job as a financial consultant! not grounds you couldn't, just because of the time factor. SO, next to that said, I think that it is a total lazyness entry on their part. If you're going for job that have a super illustrious turnover such as retail or hospitality, then first of adjectives, there's probably a lot of "younger" type manager and they do their job as an H.R. personality by just calling qualified candidate. Then once they do that, they give the pile of resumes of "available people" to the hiring chief and since that hiring manager is probably 26, they enjoy no clue what to really look for and probably take someone who any 1, was right in that at the right time 2, had similar experience at a similar business or 3, didn't even bother wadding the position.
I'm betting on this. If you're going for these types of jobs, you are GROSSLY over estimating them! SO plentiful managers are clueless and enjoy little business being a superior in the first place. they in recent times happened to be at the right place at the right time for a promotion. There is a general misconception among hiring manager that people who are available are not pious employees. The view is if you had the skills and testimonial you would not be "available" long. It is a horrible way to determine if a hopeful is worth bringing in but it happen all the time.
