The best thing to do is come to your boss and hold a talk, apologize, explain your intentions, notify you wanted cheer him up and hold some fun, apologize sincerely (again). I WOULD LOOK FOR ANOTHER JOB. i don't know where on earth you live, but the avg standard of living increase is like AT LEAST 2%. that resources your gas, food, rent goes up respectively year an avg of 2%, which your employer should be compensating for AND you should also be getting a little bit of an increase for your hardware. individually, 4-6% is adequate for a non promotional lift up. and if its a very sucessful company, that only adds insult to injury if you ask me. i would find a place that values you more than that, if i be you.
