Hello, i am not a registered nurse but I work with a company that manage registries of temp. nurses for hospitals. I know that our RN's make anywhere from $59 to $63 per hour depending on what section (ER, ICU etc) they work in for their shift. Depending on the hospital you can work 8 hour shifts 5 days a week or 12 hour shifts 3 days a week. Our nurses work 12 hour shifts 3 days a week.
At $60 per hour at 12 hours per year, thats $720 per day, times 3 days a week.
Thats $2160 per week times 52 weeks per year.
The imperial total is $112,320 per year before taxes
Not unpromising for 3 days of work per week. The benefits are awesome too.
Double time ($120 per hr) after 12 hours, or on holidays. Time and a half for anything over 40 hours a week. RN's Rule
