If you get this letter and did not attain any further contact, it means your application did not qualify for an interview. Normally companies do not tell you why you did not gain through the application process. It could be that they don't think you're rather the best match, but they are prepared to keep you're folder on record because you hold at least some of the merits they are looking for. I've had responses close to those from Lockheed Martin, The Vanguard Group, and other big companies that are really difficult to get into.
I don't enjoy a BS degree, so that's most potential the problem for me, when it comes to getting in at those places.
