I am not your ordinary MT, and most MTs don't close to to hear this, but if you are trained in any medical enclosed space (nurse, etc) you can do medical transcription. Basically you have to be capable of type, have upright grammar skills and know medical gobbledygook. I was within another medical career and answered an announcement in my local thesis for an MT because I wanted to work at home and feel it would suit me well.
