You could go through behind the times files adn see if anything needs to be updated. Update phone or email listings. If you buy and sell with any numbers, jump through the books and "reconcile" them. Throw away stuff explicitly not needed anymore. Ask your boss for more work. They really do appreciate that!

I dint know if you own your own office or desk or doesn`t matter what but a friend of mine started righting essays for college students it made him extra cash and it made it look close to he was working really unyielding!

May I suggest that you start to initiate your own project appropriate to the company you are working for. Get something start-up and keep your boss informed of progress. Your boss will sit up and help yourself to note that within is someone willing to risk-going near the progress of the company. Wish you success.
lately keep a word document or something work related interested. and when someone comes by open it up and bring in it look like you are working, the rest of the time surf the web. or you could do some part of your brief that hasnt been tasked to you however. if there is something that doenst stipulation to be dont until tommorow do it today. it makes u look right

3 things to do to look busy
1 - there have to be something you want to learn around at work that you don't know about -- research it, print it stale and have it cover partly your desk -- read through it every once in a while and point up stuff
2 - look for courses. You're not busy, fine. Maybe they will pay for you to receive more busy :) Use Excel, it always make you look busier
3 - never EVER chat or have personal call at work. Ever ever. It looks very doomed to failure.
If none of these apply to you [no computer no desk?] - then a moment ago LOOK busy. If you're bored at McDonalds, my manager told me when I worked here just to wipe stuff. Clean something. Be on the move. Just don't verbs out a paperback :)

Volunteer to help out someone else. It shows you are a troop player. Then if no one have any work for you to do; continue to answer Y interview. At least not a soul can say you didn't steal the initiative or you aren't being proactive...
You are waiting for work to find you. You must move about out and find work. Filing. cleaning, organizing, researching, these are adjectives things you can do. Ask your supervisor for additional tasks and be predisposed to take them. You are newly sitting around waiting for the end. Your days will be more fulfilling if you stay busy.

The knob is to have several window or applications running simultaneously on your computer - some of leisure and others work related. When you hear or see the boss coming towards your bureau use the windows ALT+TAB portion to switch over from surfing the Internet to an excel spread sheet. Works every time.

1. Never wander around the office short having a stack of papers near you. They can even be blank pages, on the other hand never get caught beside your hands desolate at the office.
2. Use broad oral communication so if someone asks what you are doing, you can say, "I'm assessing the impact of the factor given to me by my direct (your boss) to analyze for this project and am looking forward to providing the results as per their schedule, and everything is running right on the dot." You just said a unbroken lot of nuthin', yet nobody but you will know.
3. Eyes other up and look at people directly. People that stride around with their head down at work either are perceived as depressed or as have something to hide.
4. Understand that the most potent employees are the ones who hold little to do because they are efficient and intelligent. Most humans are incompetent to focus and that's why most folks don't make a hundred impressive or more. It has little to do near ability and closely to do with focus. So look focused and motivated. In other words, other be friendly, yet enjoy high force because it makes you seem to be knowledgeable and busy.

You have need of to pursue additional assignments which will tolerate your boss know that you are an asset to the department. Reveal to him that you have time for extra-curricular assignments. Do not volunteer the information that you own no work. Do this quickly. He\she will find out sooner or then that you aren't performing if he/she hasn't found out already.
Take the assignments you already do and upgrade them to maximize your efficiency. If done right, you could be eligible for a lift. At least a commendation.
Listen closer at the workplace. There are projects that requirement to be done that haven't been initiated. Take the initiative. Before you know it you'll be asking 'Answers' how to conduct operations your time.

Personally, I'd either ask the boss for some direction, or initiate a project on your own. Well, unless, you want to be stuck within the same, boring, meaningless work for the rest of your life. I'd try to work for a promotion and do stuff to attain ahead in energy instead of just sitting on your bum doing zilch, but hey, that's just me.
