It depends on the passageway the employer let you progress. If they say you are fired later you can collected unemployment, if they right to be heard we are going to let you turn, then no you can't collected laying-off. This happen to me later year!!
It depends on how you were terminated and your length of employment.Unless it was for something resembling criminal reasons or you be still in a probationary time, YES you can collect unemployment. As a event of fact self fired is one of the reasons you CAN collect severance for,quitting on your own makes you ineligible to collect it. Of course in that is an exception to that rule also, for instance I once had to quit a post because the employer wanted me to out and out break transportaion law putting me in a position that I HAD to quit. I fully explained the situation to the severance dept and after investigating they felt faultless I was one truthful they granted me unemployment.
