I don't know either. I am an infrequent merchant of items and the profit margin is pretty small. I guess if you own a huge inventory and are able to ship items by requesting a pick up from the post bureau or UPS, then yes, you could brand a living at it.
I find that it is very time consuming to account items, keep resting on all the requests for information forwarded by potential bidders and running to the post department. On the other hand, I own gotten rid of a lot of stuff I don't use anymore and haven't have to deal near the hassle of a rummage sale.
