Answer:
There is no clear-cut answer to your question. I would read aloud that an MBA is a good level that promises a high earn potential and is very generalizable. It's also the level that can be earned contained by the shortest amount of time (as compared to the others you mention above). You can receive an MBA in 12-24 months, depending on the program. A JD take at least three years. An MD amount can take 8+.

Should I reapply for the opportunity?

Question:
I applied for a job beside a specific company about three days ago. Just very soon, I was continuing next to my job dig out on Monster.com as I do everyday, and the exact job that I applied to through the company website is posted in attendance. Now, I am on monster.com everyday and I've never seen the company post near. Ever. So should I apply again? Or would that be redundant? Any advice please, gratitude.

Answer:
Hi I'm in Hr and though you've already hear here that you can't reapply for the same living twice, I'll give you some more info. It's one and only been three days, that's nought. Sometimes we collect resumes for weeks before reviewing them, you newly don't know what their time frame is. Also, when we list job on places like monster, we can singular buy a 30 day index. So how long the posting is up, is meaningless to you on your job investigate, it will always be in that for at least 30 days. We don't pop ad up and down daily. So hold on, you don't know how hastily or slow their hiring process is. I'd follow up in a week if you haven't hear. Good luck
It would be redundant AND make you look disorganized, since you "forgot" that you have already applied.
should you?
Just go put a bet on to working the fry machine at McDonalds.
If it is the exact same position, it is probably best not to apply twice contained by the same application time.
Some places of business will cancel you out and won't consider you for a position if you apply twice. Rather it be you, or even if you applied, and a staffing company applied for you. Its not a perfect look to apply more than once. If you want to call and check the status of the position, or verify that someone received your resume, thats fine. That's also a apposite way to in actuality talk to a individual without looking desperate. Good luck!

Is it only just me or is the average American workweek getting longer and longer?

Question:
I used to think 40-hour workweeks be the norm, but now it seem corporate downsizing is pressuring people to work 60 or more, including weekends. I know some folks claim that working the extra hours is a personal choice, but it seems that nearby is pressure from top management to work those extra hours or risk not making the cut during the subsequent downsizing period (which categorically takes the choice out of it). I also realize that America is one of only a few developed countries that doesn't own mandatory vacation time. Is corporate greed cause the average American to work longer and longer hours, basically against his or her will?

Answer:
Where I work, it is expected that you work overtime when they involve it, no questions asked. We customarily have 40 hour weeks, but most force here average about 50. Any discussion lead to an arguement and a threat of being fired. They claim if you wallet for unemployment, you will not qualify because they asked you to work overtime and you refuse. They pay time and a partially for overtime, but yell and complain at your overtime hours. There is no bearing to win where I work. We also gain only 2 weeks leave time. I think contained by Austria or Germany they get 8 weeks. Most European nation are between 4 and 6 weeks. I guess that's why America was on top but immediately being caught by the rest of the world; we are burning ourselves out.

To answer your request for information, the American work week has be 40 hours for some time and still is. Corporate greed pushes us to work harder for fear of our job; overseas outsourcing has cost millions of $$$ within labor here and put more $$$ in the rotund cat's pockets at the expense of American jobs. Those who enjoy their jobs touch the pressure to work themselves to the limit to hold on to their way of life span.
The average standard work week is actually diminishing from 40 hours to 35 hours. If someone chooses to work longer hours, I believe that overtime pay is still surrounded by effect for exempt workers.

If workers choose not to work extra hours, it is still their choice.
Can't you see, Americans are being turned into slaves. We are no longer a Nation of Producers, we are immediately a Nation of Consumers. We are slaves to our desire for more "Stuff". Supply and Demand shows that we are at the mercy of utilities and taxing agencies because no matter what it costs we will hold our electronics, suv's and energy!
The Native Americans showed astonishment within their early writings at how the white man be such a slave to hard labor and didn't get the drift how to sit back and wallow in the fruits of their labor.
Every generation have worked hard for the betterment of the following contemporaries, until now it is a bunch of spoiled ethnic group with an overrated sense of entitlement.
I point a finger at myself as economically as others and sorry so loooong!

good luck & blessing
Yes, the workweek is getting longer for those workers who own full time jobs. At equal time, less hours of work are provided for uninterested workers, temps, independent contractors, part timers, morning laborers and other marginally employed workers. Basically, Corporate America is trying to wring every last ounce of productivity from it's ongoing workers, and using casual labor to saturate in the gap that the full timers can't fill.

Should I quit my livelihood?

Question:
I am miserable at my new position. I've only be there a month and hang on to telling myself it will gain better with time. I've never feel so much stress at work in my vivacity!. I get sick merely thinking about it. I can't wallow in my days off. I find myself wanting to cry every evening. Should I hang around it out or hit the road?

Answer:
Do you have something else feint up? Do you depend on that income? Are you prepared for unemployment? Is this only just a job or a job? Why did you start there, and sign out your last? Is it the nation or the job discription? Will this charge get better/worse/stay duplicate?

Stress makes ethnic group sick, very awfully sick mentally spiritually physically, and you must be happy, but you must live. I may own more ideas, but don't know your situation.

Bottom stripe, life is short and money merely buys you things, not happiness. Nobody wishes they have more money on their headstone, they usually wish for more time, love, or something more advisable and imposible.
i say receive a better job that treats you right
quit because you are not pleased! but before quiting start looking for a position, as soon as you get a positive feedback from the fresh potential employer then quit
See if you can find other brief opportunities that you would soak up more and quit if you get another undertaking.
Yeah, my last errand was similar to that, and I quit after 4 months. Ask yourself, will it honestly get better over time?? If not, conjecture about your other option. If you have too much job-related stress close to that, it can really shorten your life, and at the most minuscule, lessen the quality of it. Life is too short to be that miserable!!
i own been within your situation before eventually it basically breaks you down and you can't handle it anymore. try to find a topical job up to that time you quit this job though so you are not stuck short any income good luck you will be much happier if you verbs and get a unknown one. You should get a living that makes you want to carry up in the morning. i work at a vet clinic for six months very soon, and it is the best job i enjoy ever had. i love going near. good luck finding a chore that makes you beaming you will be glad you did.
find a job you are healthy with
It is time to hit the road. Personally, I can't work for anyone. Their standards are opening too low and their minds have blinders.
They can't stand complacent race. If you aren't small minded and picky etc like they are, you are through.
Keep trying to find a robust atmosphere. Don't get sick over a stupid post. Your health is adjectives you really have.
Wait it out.

The first few months are terribly stressful, because you are learning.

Speaking from experience, the two job that I started off hate the most ended up man the ones I loved the most.
It's perfectly majority to have deeply of stress at a new profession. And of course you are going to stress because your doing something you be not created to do. We are all resembling little rats in a big city jumble. I can't begin to inform you just how jacked up this society is. So put your leader down and bear it if you can. Otherwise move out to the country and live a simple vivacity!!
Leave your job, it's not worth it, but put surrounded by your two weeks notice and expire on a good document so you can still use it as a reference.
YEAH. Quit! if ur miserable at your opportunity then sign out. If you feel that your work vivacity sucks then set out and get another livelihood. it cant get any worse because you grain like crap everyday. Take it as an opportunity to move forward. Good Luck!
I vanished my job because i be getting under rewarded and overworked, i even started loosing hair and im single 25!
Find another job and afterwards quit. If you have bills, the rule of thumb is to never quit a commission until you find another one. You don't know when the next time you will bring another one. Bills still come in constantly every month. Hang contained by there for immediately and search at equal time. Good luck.
Find another job until that time you leave. It could be better or worse than your current one.
You should natter to management if it is those that are stressing you. If it's the job itself I don`t know they can offer ways to relieve that stress. Some job careeers are just stressful . You want to build sure that you give a 2 week concentration . Make sure you find another job until that time leaving because job most places are hard to find anymore. But the bottom procession is this if you are miserable and you can't relieve the stress level it is better that you give. If you dont at least close to what you do ,you will never be happy and the stress will lately increase.
Good Luck
Is it just me or is quitting other the answer for most people today? I agree next to sexy trojan, with any unsullied job, in that is always a erudition curve. Give yourself a chance to swot the ins and outs of this job up to that time you start looking for a new one. If it's the study aspect getting you down, starting another new commission will only put you surrounded by the same situation again. Besides, it looks fruitless on your employment history... A bosses' interpretation? Unmotivated, unwilling to take on brand new challenges, inflexible, etc. Not saw that's what you are but that's the impression it leaves. When you try to attain a new undertaking, what are you going to say when they ask you why you vanished the old one?
Life is what you spawn of it... everyone has to work and there's ALWAYS someone out here that has a crappier post than you that wishes they had your position. Worse still, within are people out nearby that wish they could work or find a charge in the first place.
If you discern as if you are way contained by over your head, it's your responsibility to your employer to put together them aware of the situation. (If you weren't trained properly, that's not your fault. Talk to co-workers that own been within awhile; did they go through alike stress/unhappiness at the beginning as ably?)
Be proactive instead of reactive.

Best of luck,
Mon :-)

Why do employer hang about to the fundamentally expiration of the month to dispatch out W2's?

Question:

Answer:
Employers have to hang around until they receive all of the required information wager on from the accounting staff or payroll company before they can print W-2s. Many body don't get their final check of the year until the first or 2nd week of January. The info from this final check have to go on the W-2s as ably. Also, if your employer has abundantly of employees, it take time to gather adjectives of the information and print the W-2s. If your employer uses a payroll company to handle paydays, you own to wait for that payroll company to print the W-2s, and usually they touch hundreds of companies, not just the one you work for. That is why they sometimes give somebody a lift so long.

Don't want to wait for your W2? Take your end pay stub of the year into H&R Block and they can do your taxes lacking the W-2.
because like everyone else they put it bad till the last available minute (although i get both mine already)
because they can
Could just be a big corporation and they have individual so many inhabitants working on it, or they can just be asses and manufacture ya suffer ( if ya quit, got fired) Sometimes it's freshly something they don't wanna work on right away. I think it only depends on the company.
Because it is a complex thing to do to not single prepare W2s for existing employees, but for anyone who worked nearby in the previous year. This also cannot be done until the starting point of the new year to be capable of get adjectives info together to print. The most common intention, though, is that legally they hold until January 31 to do so and in some cases, can database for a extension in some cases to assure are contained by employees hand by February 15th.
They have to seize all the info together and distribute it to the payroll department to print them up, then it take a few days to get to your mailbox. It could be worse.. you could seize it at the end of February or start of March.
The shutting down of the year is a very busy time for accounting surrounded by general. Companies enjoy tax returns they hold to do as well, and they hold a lot more financial stuff to sort through than you do. Most associates don't file their toll returns as soon as they get their W-2's and other assorted tax-related papers. They own until April 15th and they take as much time as they call for or are allowed. You can't expect all companies to feat contrary to how people do.

Payroll adjustment are also a big factor. Adjusting social security and medicare year-to-date totals, waiting for third-party sick rate reports to be generated and sent by insurance companies, surrounded by general reviewing the total compansation of every hand, all fringe benefits offered that affect taxes (including medical coverage, vivacity insurance, voluntary contributions to retirement accounts [i.e. 401(k)], flexible spending plans, and the list go on) takes time.

Don't even bring me started on multi-state employers (employers who hold offices or workers in more than one state) and adjectives the compliance issues that could be involved.

Suffice it to say that at hand can be a LOT of work involved in getting you your year's worth of compensation on a single piece of broadsheet, repeated 3 times on that single piece of paper. And adjectives that while making sure you get rewarded on payday while they're doing it.

Send flowers to your payroll department. They deserve it, lol.

In addition (since I saw some more answers come up after I finally submitted mine and typing one-handed take time), you should know that when you worked does not matter so much as when you get PAID for working. W-2's list monies PAID within that year. If a paycheck is dated in January 2007 later the wages go on your 2007 W-2 and you hold another year to go to receive that one.

Generally, Payroll prints up the W-2's themselves, or if they use a 3rd party hawker (like ADP or Ceridian or Paychex) then they print the W-2's and convey them to the Payroll department. Once Payroll has verified the exactitude of all information, they either letters them out or send them on to the subsequent manager or director or corporate officer contained by whatever procedure company policy dictates. Sometimes it's a wonder they gain in the e-mail in as soon as a month, lol.
Yeah right? They do it because they can, because they are inactive,percrastenators,controlli... ,broke, irresponsible or maybe they are looking out for your best interest because they do not want you to spend adjectives your hard earn money all at once.lololoI I recognize were you are coming from.

If your company asked you to write checks and post date them even though the money wasn't in that woulditbelegal

Question:
My company asked me to post date checks to pay our suppliers even though we didn't own the money to pay them nonetheless, is this illegal and would this violate company or professional standards?

Answer:
It is not off the record on your part; you are one instructed to perform a chore. It is certainly dishonourable on the company's part to pretend to rate their suppliers when they are well aware that no expenditure will be forthcoming. If you work for a publicly-held corporation, they may also be violating their own internal controls and/or provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act which have to do with corporate governance (especially financial controls.)

If they can't payment their suppliers, it's a matter of time earlier they will be unable to rate their employees. Find a investigational job as soon as you can, in the past your postdated payroll check bounces.
Doesn't sound right to me, same as it would be wrong for you to write a check from your own personal narrative, knowing that the funds were not in attendance. But, if you are directed to do so by your boss, then to be exact your job to do.
It is not permitted to post date checks, and illegal to write checks when the money is not here and you know it.

If you do write the checks, do not sign them. Make one of your bosses do it, or they can shift the blame entirely to you.
I don't know about it mortal illegal, but I can make available you some points from a bank's point of view. A check is assignable from the moment that it is given to the payee. No matter if it is dated within the future. The sandbank will pay it anyway. If the check is presented to the guard against insufficient funds, obviously the hill will charge the company a fee and probably return. Once the check is returned, it go back to the payee and they hold the ability to any redeposit it or go vertebrae to your company for another form of payment. They also may embezzle it to their local court house and file a claim against your company. After that, I am not sure what happen. It is obviously not ethical for the company to do this, though.

If you don't be aware of comfortable with this practice, you should find another charge. What would you do if they did that to your paycheck and it returned due to insufficient funds? Trust me, this is VERY common. I see folks come into the bank everyday that want to dosh their paychecks, but can't because their employer doesn't have any funds contained by their account. Think nearly that.
You know it's not right.

You're more liable than the employer because
they'll deny ever having instructed you to
do this.

Example: An ancient employee is instructed to bequeath his username and password to new human resources at a call center to amass time. Later, he is accussed of fraud and fired.

A welder is instructed by a supervisor to weld around tanks near harnful fumes. He refuses at first, but the boss become very wacky, says time is money and there's a deadline, can't remove fumes contained by time.

The welder starts, and an explosion occurs.

Who's at blemish? The boss or welder.

The welder. He knew better, plus the boss
denied instructing welder to verbs dangerous accomplishment.

How can i approach a local diary producer and ask for them to train/teach me as an apprentice-?

Question:
and be taken seriously and not someone who just requests to one day be distinguished?

Answer:
GO UP TO THEM AND SAY, "I WANT TO BE TRAINED AS A APPRENTICE, AND I WOULD LIKE TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY, I'M NOT SOMEONE WHO IS JUST LOOKING TO BE FAMOS."
Are you kidding?

Go to freakin college and swot like conventional people!
Just ask.
I don't procure it. Do you want to be a record producer? Famous?

Name one diary producer. They don't get allot of ill repute.

Anyways try going to your local music store, one that rents band equipment, approaching lights, pa sound equipment and stuff for band. Get a job near, start going along with the nouns man to the different gigs, and start learning what it take to set up the equipment, get a pious sound for the belt that's there that morning. Learn how to mic a drum kit, craft a guitar sound dutiful but still have it the means of access the musician wants it to nouns, the same near the drums, bass, keyboard, vocalists and adjectives the instruments, back up vocals.

If you can bring good at that, to the point that the band are requesting you to be there nouns man, then you know your starting to grasp good. Then you inevitability to hook up with a big trimming as a traveling sound man and where on earth you can start telling the group want they want and what sounds good.

If you acquire to that point then you'll be prepared for the recording studio as a nouns man, and if you are really good you'll be producing some albums. Where you'll know how to tell the belt how to compile a song so it sounds better so it will sell more, etc.. etc..

Or I guess you could find some little soundtrack studio and sweep floors and stuff and try building a career from near.

good luck

But I am not sure how to carry on a high plane of visibility of work? Can any one answers my question please. Thanks contained by advance.

PS : Please dont answer resembling "Ask you seniors when told you"etc.

Regards,
Farooq.

Answer:
Hello there I know exactly what you be set to.this is what you dowhen you get a providence ask your seniors inquisitive questions just about whatever projects you are working on... don't be a Kiss up but confidentially ask next some questions roughly speaking the project.. Like where do you see this project contained by a few years when going to a meeting own some very capably thought out questions to ask during the dialogue.. It shows interest.. and then you will find your seniors offering you extra info that you don't necessarily entail to complete you task.. Pay attention to those silly emails put out that recount you where the company is head... If you see a project coming that has High visibility...a greatly talk about project try to achieve on board.
Communicate near your bosses and your peers to let them know when you're doing something above and beyond. Speak up and contribute surrounded by meetings.

If you're not comfortable doing that or your bureau environment isn't conducive to it, you might want to keep an entertainment. log after each shift highlighting the accomplishments of the year. When it's review time you'll have your own behaviour record--if that still doesn't work you'll have management items all equipped for your resume.

interviews. who think this interview go powerfully.?

Question:
i had an interview this morning, which i presume went all right. the guy only asked two question. he asked" how do i manage in need being employed and "what do i do for money" these where on earth the only question he asked. after that we spent 45 minutes discussing things about the company, the perk of the job, what the available job entails. i mentioned a few things something like myself, what skills i have, how i treat customers, why i want the opening, what i can contribute, what interests i have. consequently i discussed briefly the questions i considered necessary answering. who thinks i have a good interview and beside the information i have given them am i possible to get the charge.

Answer:
You might have done wellI connote you did well, no situation his choice, it depend on him. The two questions he asked you are newly a little bit improper (in the context that he never asked you anything else), but they are legitimate, so no probolem from here.
As another person have said, it's a good entry the interviewer had spent so much time next to you, talking almost the company and, even more important answering some of your own question. Were they like these?

http://www.cvtips.com/question_to_ask_du...

Then, another righteous thing is that you hold chosen to describe your skills and achievements yourself, witthout self necessarily asked about it.
I judge you'll get the mission.

Good luck!
I think you did very well...good luck
It sounds to me close to it went economically, but then again it probably depends on how you answered those two question.
Sounds like it go well, flawless luck.
It probably went powerfully. The interviewer wouldnt have spent so much time explaining in the region of the company if he didn't like you/thought you weren't going to obtain the job.

Good luck and congrats :-)
sounds apt 2 me
