I would go next to something like 'to gain experience next to a non-profit or community development charity that challenges me to develop professionally', or something within that vein. Make surely sure it's grammatically correct!
Objectives should be vague. Your cover reminder should be specific to the job you're applying for and describe why you'd be a appropriate candidate.
