theres several ways to get your hobby to money..it is a hobby at the moment. ive done art and design for the last eight or nine years, up to that time that i took photo's...
ok, we'll assume you know your way round a camera. 35mm yes...120 6x6 perchance... so what uses can we get out of our cameras... i started doing weddings, not your usual 36 shots cut the cake and im gone, i do reportage... i spend 8 hours or so beside the bride, recording her entire year. and id provide them maybe 300 shots, (10 rolls)
jessops do free show... one in one out. so, their processing is pretty virtuous, and they do a good deal... my 300 photos, 2 past its sell-by date at 7x5 cost a tenner a roll... 100 quid. (digital its 7p a print or 70 quid)
id charge 250 a pop, self get feed and watered, pay my assistant lb5 an hour and still clear 100 for 8 hours... and within 1980 that was a biddable wage for a days "work" and it is work... you do the before shots, the stock nuptials shots and the reception... nowadays studios charge 1000 pounds seriously undercut them, and word travels, and the work comes within... if youre any good... and consequently theres the reprints... i always earn more off them than i did on the matrimony..
remember the two sets of prints, one fo rhte album... no sticky fingers... and one set to hand around their friends... capably, at teh end of the darkness i work the tables, couples, mate, girly gaggles... it pays well... nice portrait, bright and breezy couple... good customer... and its departed easy, 135mm lens conceivably an 80... very short DOF perchance F2.8

burn em onto CD, average 1cd per hour shooting.. cost 12p respectively! and they can take them to jessops... ok, so i dont breed any money, but im getting paid to do the undertaking...and its part of my course, on teh opening training...
all you own to do is place an ad surrounded by the local community newspaper... maintain it cheap, meets lots of potential customers and put up for sale your services... and hone your skills. go to any church on a saturday and survey the professionals at work. pay attention... look at the framing and the placement of the subjects.. and cart the shot...

presently i show others how. i also do desktop publishing, and page layouts for newsletters and advertising... but you involve to be able to spell, or use spellchecker... it say your sloppy and dont pay attention to detail... work on it. put together yourself a portfolio of your VERY best work, and show it...

i think you should possibly take graphics or something related especially if you close to photography or manipulating photos.
altho graphics isnt photography it contains it.. our art n design course included graphics surrounded by it.. im not sure whether yours did.
but in our project atm within graphics (our last project earlier we finish the course) we are allowed to do our own project. Me and this guy have contracted to do it on society, this requires photographing.. anyway my point is that you may be able to grasp a job within photography without goin to uni.

Me!! OK I am one of the very few so don't assume this can happen to everyone. When I be in H.S. I get a job bit time working for and Mutual Fund Analytical Company called Lipper. Once I graduate I was get hired on full time. Now it is almost nine years later and I am still next to the company and moving up but I have have to work really hard for what I hold. The other down side is I make newly over 40,000 a year but if I had a financial amount and/or mutual fund licenses I could be making 65,000 an year and up. I currently am a Electronic Data Specialist < - sounds fancy but it's not, but really I sit surrounded by a cube, check data and spend lots of time on the phone near companies that send crap facts. It does pay the bills and I get great benefits which is why I have not moved on.
