It's purpose is to allow the interviewee to draw from the nerves out of the way while allowing the interviewer to size you up base on your clarity of thought, your value system, how all right you express yourself and come across to people you've never met until that time.
You could start with key info: your age, astrological sign (yes, some employers do hire on the reason of astrological sign), where you're originally from, where on earth and when you got your scope, your current/most recent employer and your work there, etc. Do not mention your personal interests and inclinations at this time unless asked and do not shift on and on -- keep it short and sweet. You don't have to put down that you 'didn't finish'. Just put down the given name of the college you attended and the period you attended (dates and year(s) ). It's not apt to volunteer any negative information on your resume. If they ask it on an interview, next be honest, but don't volunteer unless they ask you about it.
Be honest, simply put something like, 1990-1992 Cal Poly State University. Majored contained by Micro Biology. Left college in 1993 due to ethnic group obligations. Or if you don't close to Cal Poly, you can make up some other college...LOL...
