I enjoy not personally gone through it I enjoy a friend and know multiple people who own. I have be driving truck for 5 years now. First sour Swift is one of the worst companies on the road right immediately either them or CR England. My suggestion is run away from Swift. They have a 140% driver turnover rate. Most "new" guys hack it for in the order of 3 months there and hurdle ship and realize trucking isn't for them and go spinal column to what they know how to do.
Yes you will get your license through them yes you will work for them for a whopping .25/mi and be treated approaching dirt. Then once you quit before your money them off guess what you owe them and collections is after you. Plus be treated similar to dirt by other drivers on the road, I own personally see Swift drivers cut off, airlines disconnected, urine and feces thrown on their trucks, kingpin pulled, tandems pulled, license plates stolen, lights disconnected. Lets just vote I have never hear a Swift driver have one polite thing to read out about the company. As of immediately they have be selling off most their trucks and trailers and rumors floating around the industry that they are going insolvent.
There are better options for getting your license than Swift. Try getting the state to take-home pay for your training and attend a local truck driving school. Call the college and see what they say. Check out local community colleges and see if they contribute a program. If none of those pan out I would importantly recommend Schneider National they will get you your license provide you good training and they are in truth a decent company to start out beside. Stevens Transport is another decent company. Watkins Shepard Trucking is another one I outstandingly recommend. The main point is stay away from Swift at adjectives costs you will be glad you did.
