We're not looking to hire someone who wishes to sit back and tolerate jobs come to them. When you sumbit a resume you tailor it to the duty and write a cover letter explaining why you want it and hope they'll pick you. A generic resume online won't interest anyone. Also, for one career alone I can have 100 resumes come to me, so why would I investigate. Start being proactive and sending out your resume to specific ad and you'll see a difference. Take the time to follow ad instrucions too, if they want a cover memo, that doesn't mean a two sentence email. Good Luck!
