Are you making the alterations yourself? ...or is someone else doing it? If you are doing it yourself books are available which show you how to alter your own clothes. Some books might also have instruction on reconstruct also.

In general clothes can with the sole purpose be altered no more than about 3 sizes smaller. I don't recommend modernization because that entails taking apart the clothing at the seam and sewing it fund together at the new size which can be more expensive than the garment within question be when you first purchased it.

When your clothes are restructured and pockets sewn rear on those little holes might be visible depending on the texture of the yard goods.
