Your instructor is right, it can be hard to achieve an IT job, but it can be tough to get any entry height job! If you can create a portfolio of your artwork/graphic design work, I know that's what several of the web designers who work privately do, as resourcefully as the graphic designers I know as resourcefully. If you can post a bit of your work to a web site, that would be a road to display your artwork to a potential employer as well, but with the sole purpose do that if you first copyright your images, optimize your imagery so they load rapid, and test how your imagery display in different browsers.

A BS in Business Management will not turn a long way as far as employment go, so if you are dead set on getting a duty, an alternative route would be to pursue Project Management. If you really want to earn "decent" money as an employees, you will entail to conquer your fear of selling because most Project Management positions do business with selling.
