If you enjoy any questions you can be in motion to the following site:
http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/careers/custo...
This is the official FAQ page of the CBP.gov website. You can鈥檛 apply for a available job at cbp.gov but they can answer your questions.
Don鈥檛 budge to other sites. There are websites that supposedly link to the brief openings but they may charge money or not work right, etc. I checked one of them out and they merely BPA listing they have was infirm. (http://www.jobsfed.com)
Once you get into the application process OPM will allow you to register your top three choices for a location in which to be posted. Enjoy it鈥?didn鈥檛 used to be that road.
How much do waiter and waitresses generate?
Question:
If you have a personal experience consent to me know what kind of resturant it be and the differences between weekdays and weekends.
Thanks.
Answer:
Wages will vary from restaurant to restaurant. I worked at a seafood restaurant that rewarded servers $2.14/hr + tips. In order to get the most money from tips, it is best to work at a place that serves expensive food. The seafood restaurant had high meal averages which expected a higher tip for me. Thankfully, most empire in my city tipped 20% (recommended for correct service) or higher. It be very adjectives for a family of 4 to spend between $60 and $100, so I received tips from $12-$20.
Weekdays be generally slower than weekends, and adjectives holidays brought in generous crowds. Valentine's Day, Easter Sunday, and Mother's and Father's day be all daylight events that generated the most money due to the volume of customers. How much money you take home depends on how many table you can turn... and how many generous parties you bring back. So, an average week (for me) working around 30 hours would bring in $400-700. Some of my co-workers made this a full time livelihood and worked 50 hours a week
This is just my experience and it will change for everyone. You must take into consideration 1. type of restaurant 2. price of food 3. location of restaurant 4. how capably people tip contained by your area. Don't forget that at the finish off of the night, some places will want you to tip the bartender (mine get 8% of my bar sales) and the bussers.
Hope this help.
It depends what state and city your in. and what kinda restaurant-- I made $3.95 an hour working at Denny's and the Village Square- BUT i made slaughterer tips- Breakfast was the most money- busiest hours for Dennys but if you worked graveyard we get all the drunks within cuz it was subsequent to Floyd's bar. Dinner time be busiest for the squire- You can definately make biddable money waitressing- just gotta know how to work the people- highclass places tip the best
most of the time minimum wage plus tips, which funds ur main source of income depends how the customer feel about u when they the establishment.
Well it depends on how much business the restraurant does while your on duty. I worked at a restraurant, which the tie up is no longer in business. It be a seafood restraurant and we really made big money Friday thru Sunday nights. I could well make anywhere from $600 to $1000 a weekend. But I worked my butt stale. During the weeknights it was a much slower gait and so the money isn't nearly as good.
The minimum wage for waiters/waitresses as I believe $2.90/hour plus you engineer up the difference in rate by obtaining tips for your service.
minimum wage plus tips

You are putting the cart surrounded by front of the horse. Before you start thinking about a profession, you need to bring your thinking in proclaim. You need to discuss to a mental health professional. Note that I am NOT motto that you are "crazy" (whatever that means), but you clearly have some mental blocks you requirement to work through before you can get important decision...
What is it you like to do? You never know...one of your hobbies may front you towards a career walkway.
Welcome to my worldI am around the same age and enjoy no clue wht I want to do, and like you I hold held a couple of jobs.
One opening to do it ..is to look into some profession you admire, and do some conditions work on it. Talk to a few people who are contained by that job, and see if that suits you...and after try your hand at it . Caution: Every brief has its cons...and its exalted not to pay heed singular to the most cynical of people working the position
Another way is to lift an Aptitude test, it will make available you some direction based on your answers as to what species of career is suited for a opinion of yourself like yours. It is worth a shot.
Volunteer within schools, libraries etc...even for a jiffy...or any place that has you interacting beside people. You may find things around urself that will help you find your clandestine traits.
Lastly, be open to the chance, I found volunteering in academy, that I really would like to train some daynot right now...but immediately I know there is something I wanns do
Hope this help
something about man 28 i guess, i'm in a similar position but i finished college. It seem a lot of folks are undrstandably wary of us. Why are we such languorous rabbits? Why havn't we done much by now? Now you're not even kindness at those crap jobs that you used abused and gone because they sucked. Now they want to know why a healthy white man requirements to assit manage a mcdonalds or some other minumum wage career. And what do you say? Because i'm insecure, i'm a drug user, there's no legitimate reason to think of for why i'd want to work here, to give an account you the truth i most certainly don't want to work here, but i hold to do something.
The bet advice i've hear is to do it yourself. Pull something out of the earth refine it and vend it. Find another group of outcasts and start your own company or store. Stick out your neck and lug a business loan. We have no place within this society, we must make our own.
Think roughly what you're good at and things you would savour doing. Write them down. Then think something like things you'd like to do, but may not know how to do. Looking @ both list, decide if you'd certainly be willing to bear the necessary training and nurture that would be required to gain knowledge surrounded by areas that interest you. If not, then stick to what you already know. That's the first quantity. The second part involves researching possible career in which you could use your skills. (requirements, opening outlook, salary, etc.)

What are the fire regulations concerning fire exits within a working kitchen, and any common info treatment.?
Question:
Answer:
As Daffy above - in UK the regs changed and I'm pretty sure (although if wrong I'm spread out to being corrected) Fire Exit Doors must not be caught open - they must be capable of be operated within one operation - i.e. Single push on the bar - NOT allowed to hold two operations to unseal - i.e. NO bolt to open followed by push to unfold.
Signs must also be of correct type - Green and White - Man Running - Arrow - Door
It used to be a fine of lb1000 per fire door that was held/wedged break open
They will vary by county you live within. Try the local Zoning office.
im not an expert by any medium, but the standard rules for any fire escape are that the door is never chained or padlocked, and that zilch should EVER be obstructing the exit surrounded by any way
as a graduate retail paperwork trainee what do you come up with your knob priorities will be?

Interview quiz?
Question:
I've been working within a medical offices for 3 years. I just now got fire and im lookng for another available job. I was getting salaried 15.00 an hour. You think if I fiction and say I be earning 16.00 and im asking for 17 or is alot? Should I articulate im still working where i used to and enlighten them they cant contact my recent employer becuse im looking for another job?
When they ask me why are u looking fr another employment what should I say? Does im looking for other opportunity sound correct?
Answer:
The problem with lying on an application, resume, or at a charge interview is it can hurt you. If you get the assignment and then the company desires to terminated you they can use the excuse of "you lied on your application" to fire you without identify.
You need to present it properly or they will contemplate you will do the same entry to them...
Say that advancement potential is nil at the other medical office, specifically true since you were fired.
Don't LIE.
my mom be looking for a new situation and at her current job she be making $12, she lied and said she was making $16, asked for $18, lied at said that the antediluvian employer doesn't know she is looking for a new livelihood, she ended up getting the exotic job w/out need a reference from the outmoded employer ... now she is making $18 an hour
so to answer your request for information ... it's up to you.
Do Not Lie! This May Make You Look As If You Are DisHonest! You May Not Get The Job! Why Do You Fell The Need To Lie?? Most Interview People Already Know A Little About You, As Soon As You Walk In The Room! Be Honest You May Not Make Alot Of Money! But You Will Be An Honest Person, And This Will Pay You In The End!
Tell your future employer that you hold 3 years experience under your belt immediately, and you are worth more than you are getting at present. Don't try lying at interview because you will probably get caught out. Tell them that you will settle for 16 to start, but that you expect 17 within about 6 months when you prove yourself worth it.
Good luck
Well first past its sell-by date never lie. Though you won't agree to them call your "fabricate current employer" while interviewing, they probably will verify it after you are hired. If this is a good living and they are smart there they will contact your finishing employer. Then your sunk and the have every explanation to fire you. They can only ask a couple things of your departed employer:
1. For what period of time did you work within?
2. How much money you made?
3. Is she eligible for re-hire.
So you would be lying on all three question.
Let me ask, Does it bother you if someone lies to you just to obtain what they want, without considering the consequences to you? Food for thought.
I'm not recitation you to lie but if you do, net sure you cover all your basis just within case you take called on them. Most ethnic group lie on their resume. Not everyone get "along well near others" or "works well beneath little or no supervision" or "can handle multiple tasks" or "save the company a ton of money" but that's all you see on resumes. You win what I mean?...righteous luck!
Don't lie! It will come subsidise to haunt you. Once you read aloud something like, "You can't contact my recent employer...", red flags will rise and I would clearly contact the previous employer to find out their side of the story if I were thinking roughly employing you. How unpromising will their side of the story be? Are you prepared to answer with your side of the story? How will you explain the concluding three years of your work history if you don't list them?
"I've hear such good things roughly speaking your company!" is a good purpose to apply for a new living.
Be prepared to answer some tough questions. Good luck!
