I intuitively don't think that your boss will expect you stern at work as the dentist may give you local anesthetic and it could spawn you drowsy and if you drive that can be particularly unsafe. It also might make you incompetent to talk properly for a daylight or two (dependent on what dental work you have carried out). It is too much of a form and safety issue as you could endanger other peoples lives beneath the influence of drugs. Just stick with that and your boss should be compliant about the issue.

My friend is a trainee accountant and have a dentist appointment that involved getting a tooth, out so were conversation anasthetic and everything. The appointment was around 12.00, she have the tooth out, and when she came round go home for about 2 hrs, so be up to about 3-3.30ish contained by the day, and she next got up and go bck into work.
