Is working at Walmart a unpromising item?

Question:
I'd allways been a bartender. But I enjoy 3 kids! Late hours! No benefits! Now I have that. And great sunshine hours.

Answer:
I was a banker at WalMart for 7 years and overall, I liked it. In spite of the claim that it attracts rednecks, I've see people from adjectives walks of duration come through my line.

As far a schedule were concerned, it depended on who be doing the schedule. One guy get all the registers covered & give people the time stale they needed. Others weren't as good at it.

Working within a retail store it tough. You have to stay nice when customers grumble & blame you for stuff. The hours aren't too predictable. If it is slow contained by your department another department will "borrow" you to help them stock or something.

I suggest all the those who complain about "slave labor" are of late not used to working.
I have a sneaking suspicion that everyone of us at their job have considered being that greeter guy.
sounds resembling you already know so why ask me?
my Neighbor has worked at Walmart for 8 years, she loves it. So I construe walmarts allright, I sure as heck spend money there.
I don't feel so.. I mean if you own the job you close to, with better salary and hours then step for it. Who is anyone else to tell us what we can or can't do?
if i be u i wouldnt mind what people are wise saying i would grab what i enjoy for the moment and hold it till i find sumtin better,at least it is better than individual a bartender
No, no job is unpromising if you are able to support your nearest and dearest. I've known empire who've had discouraging experiences at Wal-mart, but that doesn't mean you will.
I worked surrounded by the mall for five years myself, even though i go to college. I got a better brief at a college library, but it took a lot of time to take where i'm at in a minute.
Good Luck! and I hope this enables you to support your family circle and be there for your kids.
I'm not sure give or take a few their benefits and what not, but I do know they have a impossible history of not promoting women.
Is Walmart like the American variation of somethere like K-mart? (soz, im contained by Australia and i dont know that place) well if it is after no, there is nil wrong with it. if its the best living that suits you... then what are you worried more or less. i think it be really nice of you go sacrfice your old-fashioned job for your kith and kin
no i do not think you own made a bad choice at adjectives. your children need you. i used to loaf tables surrounded by a bar so i know what you close-fisted. the money is great but is it worth losing time with your children watching them grow up instead of sleeping it away. i infer you made a great decision.
Wal mart doesn't wage very economically but you get insurance 401K rewarded vacation and holidays personal time bonuses etc.. I work for Wal Mart
It's a righteous thing. It's a position. Don't beat yourself up, Your inclined to work.
If you are 17 and live with your mom, or if you are retired and work at Wal Mart to stuff your empty time next to, working at Wal Mart is a good item. If you are in your 30's, enjoy 3 kids and bills and just figure out you want to work at Wal Mart for your career, it is a unpromising thing.
If you want to ask if working at Wal Mart is a bad piece, well, nevermind.
Work everywhere the hell you want to. If it's better for you, than it's better for you, especially since you have a relations. That is obviously the entity that is most critical for you. You will never find work at a place that has done everything right contained by their entire history. So don't listen to people's foolishness, because that work place is called 'fantasy land', it doesn't exist. Peace!
Of course not! you gotta do what's right for you. Plus, immediately, you probably get benefits, whereas bartending...? did they hold any? (insurance, stock options, etc).
you're supporting yourself and your kids... A LOT better than asking for any handouts.
No not at adjectives. I know a many a single moms who work at wallmart and can donate their kids a good duration. they have benefits and believe it or not well brought-up wages. You know i worked at the portrait studio there and be making some really good money. The hours weren't adjectives too bad and i be able to put money away at one and the same time. Just an idea.
I believe if you're happy beside your job and it pays the bills nearby is no shame in what you do..but next again i work at a Taco Bell so what do I know...haha :)
As they say within your work, you pick you poison in enthusiasm. Walmart? The story is poor wages, bad benefits. Tending bar--por wages, no benefits, unpaid hours.

Neither sounds great.

Which of these job is best?

Question:
American Eagle
Cold Stone Creamery
Starbucks
Circuit City
Best Buy

Answer:
I had profusely of friends work for Starbucks they loved working there, perfect benefits and free drinks for you and your friends...
starbucks or american eagle

but it would mostly depend on where u would use the discount the most
Best Buy!!
They're adjectives pretty similar, really. You have to amount you'd probably have to work after that at Cold Stone becasue of their hours. I;d go for American Eagle.
American Eagle would be cool in recent times because you can get a discount on their super cute clothes! Starbucks is nice...but you'll draw from tired of the drinks...and you dont want that to happen! Try Best Buy, especially since you're a girl...they grant good incentives and a great hand discount. Dont know much about Circuit City...but patently dont do Cold Stone. My sister worked there and neary fractured her wrist by scooping and mixing so much rime cream!
Try American Eagle ,Cold Stone Creamery
Starbucks has benefits for workers that work part-time

: )
Best Buy or Starbucks will be my first choice.

Co-worker problem...?

Question:
I have be at my job for a touch over a year. I work with this woman who have, from day one, dumped adjectives the crap work that she doesn't want to do on me, eerything from stuffing envelopes to cleaning the kitchen - she even refuses to mop up her own lunch dishes. She's very condescending to me something like it. How do I: Get her to stop and if she doesn't stop, how do I keep from breaking her skinny freaking décolletage? I love my job, but I antipathy her, and it's causing me greatly of stress at work, because I try very concrete to get along near her. Any ideas?

Answer:
Is she a co-worker or a boss? If she is not within a position to review your performance or direct your on a daily basis work, the word "no" is the word you need - as within, "No, sorry, I can't take watchfulness of that for you, I have my own work to do." Smile politely and preserve saying "no" until she get the hint. Leave her dirty dishes surrounded by the sink until they turn green.

If you share a boss, try talking to the boss give or take a few her and asking for some support.

If she IS the boss - find a new brief!
If she is your manager or supervisor, afterwards go to her regulator and complain about her
Does she ask you to wipe her dishes? If she does just utter "no, that's not part of my living." If she is your boss...I don't know what to say. But if she isn't, in that is no reason she should be dumping adjectives these tasks on you. Do a return, if she asks you to clean the kitchen read aloud "I did it all concluding week, perhaps you could do it this week because I enjoy some other projects I really need to work on." Same next to the envelopes, tell her you hold some other pressing work that needs to be done. And if you don't enjoy other pressing work? You had better carry it. Volunteer to take on more interesting projects from your boss and other population. You will get confession and your coworker will have to find someone else to dump adjectives this on, or just do it herself.
If you haven't already, dance to your direct supervisor and explain the situation. Review your duty statement to make sure that the work she hand you are your responsibilities.

Don't ever engage contained by any nonprofessional interactions with her, (i.e.), breaking her skinny freaking collar, verbal altercations, etc.

If you love your undertaking, do everything you can to protect it. It would not surprise me that those in charge are already aware of her.
did you parley to her about it but? if you did and nothing happen, maybe its time to consult to your manager or instantaneous supervisor about your concern. when i used to work for a private drug trialling lab, i had this co-worker who be really driving me in sane, not merely me, but several other co-workers were complaining just about her. she acts similar to she knows everything but she be making a lot of crappy mistakes coz of her stupidity. previously i left my profession, i spoke to the owner (who is our manager) and i think they did anything they have to do.

i forgot to relay you - if next time she asks you to clean up her dishes for her, maybe you should describe her that its not part of your errand description to wash her dishes. your not her maid. who care if she's your boss? you're not working in attendance to wash dishes. its her responsibility to verbs up her stuff not other people.
Oh God, that sounds awful! It sounds resembling you have be putting up with alot from her! Is in that a boss you can talk to in the region of her? Or, can you stand up to her and tell her you're not taking it anymore?!
DRIVE HER INSANE!

Create a current e-mail account near her name on yahoo or something and distribute it to her work e-mail address all hours of daylight with illogical messages. You could include links about man too negative, laid-back, gossiping at work, and anything else she does to drive you crazy; this may straighten out the problem a bit!

If not, it will drive her crazy having e-mails coming contained by to her from herself! Use the computers at your local library.

If you don't feel comfortable doing that, start sagging up all kind of positive messages, the value of silence around your space, and those kitchen plaques give or take a few cleaning up your own mess!

depends what sympathetic of truck driver they are.
They can make 6 digit if they own there own rig but they work frequent many hours. Hard duration.
It all depends on what sensitive of truck they drive. My father has be driving a rig for over 25 years now and my people has other struggled. The companies like to verbs you in next to saying you will go and get these huge paychecks (like the guy that gave you an estimate on a potential settle up check... that sounds like an add on in the quality newspaper to me) ... but when there is no work, in that is no pay any. If you are considering being a driver dont dance for the moving industry. Their seasons are short lived and within has be times where nearby was no work for up to 2 weeks. Also, you enjoy to realize that to make the physical money you are going to have to do long distance. This routine less time next to your familiy... or weeks at a time not seeing them. This was intricate for me growing up, but he was doing what he needed to do to put food on the table (and yes my mother also worked incredibly hard) Right now he have gotten out of the moving industry and is driving for a high finishing wine company makeing a decent buck. You must get the message that I am now 27, and it took him my entire duration to be able to finally brand enough brass to live comfortably with out struggle. The driving industry is not adjectives its cracked up to be... however, many general public also do very ably. If you live in the tri-state nouns consider another line of business... I dont know almost how much work is available in your nouns. Either decision you net, I wish you the best of luck.

Your work usually reflects the rank of education you own.
How you earn your living determines the money you make so it automatically determines the nouns you live in,the clothes you wear. The one item it is not guaranteed to do is define what generous of person you are inside or the pride you enjoy even in a low paying commission. That is all up to respectively person to own pride in anything your lot is in energy.
repatition is incorperated into our every day lives near work.

also if it has a benefit or downfall to it it . it really shows surrounded by the long run
We are defined by what we love. If we love what we do, it defines us by giving objective to our lives and making us feel that we contribute something worth while contained by our time on this earth.

If it's purely a job, afterwards hopefully we have other things that we love to minister to define us: ethnic group, friends, volunteer work, or consuming hobbies.
A lot of people explain themselves by what they do. You go through illustrious school and sometimes college adjectives for the purpose of being trained and prepared for a chore. How you choose your job probably say a little something almost you. It can suggest what paths you took contained by your education to procure to where you are. Other ways you can mark out yourself might be "I am a mother/father, I am a sister/brother, I am a daughter/son, I am a husband/wife." We are all one of these things. But we are adjectives our careers too "I am an engineer" or "I am a secretary." With a majority of our weekday hours spent at our place of work this is one of the several roles we take on.

It doesn't other have to expect something to us. But often it does. We want to be proud when we speak "I am a --" or "I work for --." When we have children we can put our children first. Our home and people lives drive a lot of our turbulent importance. But the complete support structure for our lives is based on our working.
significance: the Latin word for have meaning or purpose. If you get the impression that you have that vibe in the region of your job and it truly inspires you. Then you hold found your definition, you have a purpose and aim for that is a part of a set of you as a person.
Hmm...polite question. How does my opening define me. Well I work within a bank and I am not my commission! I would hope it shows that I am a responsible person and that I meticulousness about others. I am contained by the business of helping others with issues and responsive them to our business.

Part-time job...?

Question:
Could you please list me some unpaid jobs for those aged 10, 11 or 12??

Please hellp!! thnx in credit

Answer:
I'm proud that you want to get a leap start on the workforce. It will reward you later. At your age, you may own to come up with your own concept (such as babysitting) or use connections and work for a friend's parent.

The two most important things to be successful surrounded by the business world are:
1) Inginuity (Being able to estimate outside the box and come up with fresh, untried ideas.)
2) Networking (Using the those you know as connections to get you into places you wouldn't know how to otherwise.)

Practice using these two things now.
Lemoade stand

Bake & Sell cookies

Dog Walking
adjectives grass
painting blockade or other things
washing cars
12 years babe-in-arms sitting
pulling weeds
Too young-looking to work.
That would have to be things similar to babysitting, mowing grass, paper transference, lemonade stand, things like that. Laws prohibit kids working within fast food and places similar to that until about 15 (some are 14 but most are 15-16).
Babysitting
Leaf pickup
Dog walking
Yard Work
Snow shoveling
Paper Route (but your pantens would enjoy to help)
Thats really young. But when I be 13 (I think thats the minimum- at lowest for my city), I was an umpire for baseball. Made 20 bucks a activity. But good luck beside finding a job that youthful... Enjoy life! (Work is over rate anyway)
Probably not a lot of job out there for someone as childish as you. Try asking some neighbors if they need any patio work done...mowing grass is also a great idea. You're probably gonna own to wait till you're 16 or 17 to obtain an actual job, hun.
babysitting.. that's almost it... but then again they are probably too infantile to be trusted watching a baby as they are so childlike as well... in attendance are no real "jobs" because of child labor law.
I started working at Chic-fil-A in the kitchen when I be 13, but I think you own to be 13 to start working in a place resembling that. Babysitting might be an option, I started doing that when I be about 10 or 11. It might serve to get a babysitting/cpr records course so people would be more prepared to let you scrutinize their children. I'm not sure how old you enjoy to be to do that though. Good luck!
baby sitting is the single one for you your still to young dawdle until you get a bit elder i just get a part time commission yesturday and its not easy and im 17 basically wait a few years.
Try selling lemonade, or candy. Lemonade stands can engineer some money, and are alot of fun when it is hot. You can also try doing yard work if you want to take home some money a little more promptly. People will often clear well for someone to mow their lawns. Also some the Fourth Estate still have labour by kids on bikes, you might be able to do that. There is not alot of "Official" job for young family, so just be creative. I used a refrigerator box and a couple of boards to sort a Candy and Lemonade stand when I was youthful.

I loved it when I worked there, but I have awesome friends that kept me sane. If you have the experience you can pretty much work anywhere at Home Depot. Hope this help.
I think the concept is to find something that pays more.

You're not gonna be able to elevate a family on $20 any. Time to figure out how to use your experience and produce a career for yourself.

Contracting, possibly?
I understand that you "bust your rear" mixing paint, however, do you dance above and beyond. Do you take an interest within the customer's project and able to spawn educated recommendation for the customer? Can you teach the customer the varied painting technique? Is the whole project mortal sold?
When you exhibit these qualities to your supervisor and admin staff then you should know how to command decent raise, even possibly receive promotions.
I can't talk for Lowe's, but I know that HD does impart you the tools to learn as much as you want and want to about your position. And, yes, I do recommend that if you quality that you aren't being rewarded what you are worth, then look into working for the competitor for more money. I don't recommend bouncing hindmost after six months later though, unless its for a better position.

Does society reward tricky work?

Question:
I'd like to hear everyone's response to the press.

Answer:
Sometimes. I think society rewards heroic act, luck, aggressiveness, confidence, and risk-taking. It is true a person can be a tough worker and find success. But normally, you can be a hard worker and nouns will ellude you whereas others who have not worked so concrete will find success highly easily. Take a look at the majority of CEOs - true, some worked their instrument up within companies to positions of prominence. Others come from long, clan lines of "leaders" and were placed within positions due to their friendships. Many people will succeed contained by the workplace because of their attitude and confidence, not necessarily because of their skills, intelligence, or hard work. Even loyalty is not other rewarded over a more cut-throat perspective.

I guess sometimes you have to be delighted with doing what feel right by you. Whether or not you are successful by society's standards isn't always an indicator of security or contentment in energy.
Which "society"? There are a myriad of them -a workplace, a tribe, a cult, a country.you get the drift. Some places surrounded by the world, hard work is adjectives there is, and after you die, without much at adjectives. In other "societies" people approaching Paris Hilton are seen as role models for have lots of money without working for it at adjectives.

And what, exactly, is a "reward?" Is it external validation - fast cards, big houses, lots of brass to throw around? Is it the satisfaction that comes from erudition something new, and sharing that study with someone else?

Asking question with more precision will result within answers that are more specific.
Sure they do, by giving you more work that's increasingly difficult. Ever heard the phrase - no biddable deed go unpunished.
Only in small doses. Hard work scare people. usually merely get recongnized by other strong workers.
I am sure it varies by society. It does not within a Socialist society, does in a Capitolist society.
Open your eyes.

The "tough work" is picking vegetables in a paddock. Machining engine blocks from steel. Mopping up the offices at midnight.

The rewards adjectives go to clever folks who are allowed access to the system, and are willing to profit from the rock-hard work of others.

I worked much harder when i was younger. Now that i've gone through college and enjoy done the corporate dance, I grasp paid pretty all right to do practically nothing.

Sitting surrounded by board rooms, listening to populace... it may be important, but calling it concrete work is ridiculous.
ABSOLUTELY NOT! Because the poor people do the most work and take paid the least possible. While the Rich people do zilch (Paris Hilton for example) and get rewarded next to the big buck. Granted her Grandfather (Paris Hilton's) did actually enjoy to work to get rich.
in a minute the world is running after money.i deeply grain to say that individual those who aware r of dedication and hardwork could realise the responsibility.but the percentage is very smaller amount. that is why v r not competent to shine in any area.
