For computer applications, I'd recommend Microsoft Word, if only for the spelling and language rules checks. Also check your local community college, most have affordable creative writing classes. You don't even enjoy to go for the scope, you can just hold classes.

It depends on whether population are ordering the drinks directly from you or if you are making the drinks for the dawdle staff to then pilfer to the customers tables.
My guess is that you'll kind more if the customers are ordering directly from you and tipping you directly.
Also, different restaurants own different policies on how the wait staff "tips-out" the bartender. Try to find out if you can.

No, you are not a bad friend. How can you recommend your friend--you can't read out anything that isn't true otherwise that will fly back at you. She's a manipulator, trying to produce you feel bleak so she can get something she requirements. Be empathetic--tell her how rough it must be about so and so, after keep on working tricky on your own life. You owe her nothing--she not your child--in other words you are not responsible for her. There seem to be two issues here:
1) Your desire to prove yourself not only to your friends, but to you as in good health. As such, you are willing to see them "suffer" a bit to finally put yourself on top.
2) Helping out a friend who may be qualified for the errand, but could potentially hurt your own career by offering direct competition.
The first item is, ably, selfish and juvenille. You hold worked hard to achieve where you are, but by your own declaration of guilt, you were also a "partier". It seem to me that you can readily forgive your "party days", but can't really tolerate go of the certainty that your friends' families be better off financially. In other words, you are stating that since you "turned a corner" contained by your life, adjectives past transgressions should be forgiven and forgotten, but one and the same is not true for your friends. This is a double standard and I strongly encourage you to not focus on this. Anything you did or anything they be given in their youths is immediately history - your futures depend a lot on what YOU adjectives do as adults. I'm a CPA and I regard Christopher's answer is excellent. I would add that accounting is really not a bunch of complicated math close to calculus or trigonometry. Instead, it's using basic arithmetic and applying miscellaneous rules and judgments to do your brief.
I highly recommend doing a five year program to return with your BS and Master's so you can become a CPA (most states now enjoy a rule that you need 150 hours to be licensed). If you do a simple commission search for accounting positions, you'll see that most require or strongly prefer a CPA. Salary depends on your location but I'd read aloud you can be earning $50K plus inside 3 years of working in the profession.
