Texas is an at-will state and employer can terminate you for "any reason" but in that was NO REASON. I have 1 absence and the other girl working in that had10 abscences and she was merely fired after failing to show up or call within. My (former) job be posted for 1 week then chock-full by an internal "friend" of my director. Also even before I have my evaluation I was told by a friend who works at another place that my director be asking if a girl was interested within my position!
