I've have a lot of experience over times gone by 3 years with this subject. I go through litereally 50+ different companies on the interent trying to make money while I be in college. OK that make sense as far as the free time goes but would our reimburse rates be increased to make up for that lost 10-20 hours? I think through that this would all affect inflation and as a result things wouldn't be as expensive but I think it wouldn't affect it so much so that someone could afford to survive on 20-30 hours a week at say-so... $10-$14 mind you that's almost twice as much as minimum wage. A person couldn't remuneration the rent on that kind of earnings. 40 hours takes pre-eminence of the time we are do not need to sleep but it also give us some free time and I agree with you...Its not much free time but its better than working 60 hours...which I hold done.

People who have more free time for themselves and to spend next to their families are happier workers, and a relaxed worker is a productive worker! There are lots of countries that give stale more weeks of vacation than any U.S. would ever dream of, and own better retirement plans at an earlier age.

Many fire departments own a cadet or early entry training program designed to introduce infantile people to the natural life and work ethics of a firehouse. Some volunteer fire departments contribute these as well. My fire department have an active cadet program that have seen fairly a few young men and women complete the program (as they graduate school) to stir on to full-time careers within the Fire Service or other EMS provider.
Just for an idea of one (my department's) drop by the link - http://nsfire.org/cadets.htm In Wis, the cadet can obtain training in Fire Fighting and receive credit from the local Community College while they are still within High School. They are also given an opportunity to take EMT training. The license requirements are such that you want to reach 18 years of age to hold the license, but you can own the training prior to that. Most good cadet programs wiill purloin you from classroom to riding the rigs. Your time as an observer will at the smallest let you know if it is truly a job you wish to pursue, or motivate you to work concrete in HS to achieve the best grades and get the most training you can within Fire Science and EMS. The best candidates today will possess degree in fire science (associate's at least) and fairly often hold a paramedic license. at my arts school, they have a co-op program where on earth you can work with general public who do the kinds of job you're interested in - you receive highschool credits for the course and get really interesting and adjectives hands on experience - ask your counsellor - he/she will own the full array of answers (most likely) because it is highly possible that someone past you was contained by the same predicament
basically so you know - to be a firefighter, you have to endorse a physical test where on earth you have to be capable of run up three flights of stairs in 30 second while carrying a 150 pound hose. i'm not saying its impossible, but its something you should be aware of
Go to you re regular not vol inter fire dept. and see the chief he will lug you around and tell you adjectives about what its adjectives about .One item don't stop reading when I say this BUT this is a man job. Now thats is what some reflect so its hard for a Women to receive in so if you attain booted out the first time find another station and ask again some of us men think a women runs things any track and they can do the job of two men.
Why not stir and talk to them.
Many departments enjoy a junior firefighter or Explorer program. These programs are for high academy aged people to cram about the fire service. You will train and aid out on fire scene. I got contained by an Explorer program when I was 14 and become an actual firefighter when i turned 18. If your local department doesn't have a program close to that then another risk might be to volunteer with someone similar to the Red Cross. They help do rehab for firefighters at big fires and minister to place burned out families. Don't consent to people on here panic you away from wanting to be a firefighter. It is a physically demanding job but near work and dedication you can do it, you just enjoy to have it contained by you to want to do it. the mental demands of the job maintain more people from doing it than the physical various times.
Call your local non-emergency fire station and ask for an appointment to speak with someone roughly speaking your goal surrounded by person.
