i would apply for temp work to start near as you are more a ble to leave if you do not close to it. apply for a permanent mission in the meantime though merely in overnight case a really good one comes up.
Personally I really enjoy temping. It gives you a unsystematic to experience lots of different types of working environments and if you want time of to study or go home to call round family there's no problem.
