I am in graduate business conservatory and have held business job in yesteryear. For a few years, however, I've also worked at a hospital. I enjoy forgiving care; I gain along well next to my colleagues, too. Medical school interests me. That said, several doctors seem resentful give or take a few insurance, litigation, lack of autonomy, and dilapidated pay; it scare me off. Not sure what to establish.
I used to be idealistic in the region of business careers, and I don't want to repeat that mistake; business is a practical choice and medication is tough. I'm already in my impulsive thirties. But for better or worse, the thought of med school "haunts" me. I love tolerant care, and the hospital environment works for me, but is medical university worth it anymore in expressions of career pleasure and job and financial warranty? My gut tells me to turn for it; then my lead interferes and I don't know what to do (e.g. residency at age 38? could I stand not having money for the subsequent 10 yrs?)

Med school are often reluctant to adopt older students. It will run forever and will be difficult. If you make it through you will work crazy hours, don't even presume of trying to have a middle-of-the-road life for a long time.
That mortal said, you still have option. Becoming a physicians assistant doesn't take as long, and may not require you to do a residency. It is pretty darned close to one a doctor, you can even write prescriptions and make diagnoses on adjectives conditions. Still takes a while to complete though. You could also be an RN, CNA, etc. All are awfully respectable, work in medical attention, and have pleanty of situation security. These option don't take as long to attain and could hand over you the job indulgence you are looking for.
I wanted to be a pharmacist for a while but be already 30. I learned that the school may not accept you in recent times because you are older. It would also pilfer about 8 years of arts school. I decided to do elderly assistance instead. I also am a school bus driver. I love both job.
