do you know?
Question:
what qualifications are required to become a trainee police investigator? also do you know if nearby is another method to becoming one i.e. on the job training?
Answer:
I be a police officer for 4 years and I think this depends on the department. Do you hold any experience? I think like mad of departments probably put you in patrol for a couple years first so you know how things work beforehand you become a detective/investigator. Besides that, some patrol officers would enjoy priority over you to get that position since they enjoy worked there already. Obviously you would at lowest need police academy training first, later I'm sure there are some type of classes they would distribute you to, such as interrogation/interviewing, forensics, that sort of thing. Hope this help.
alienate everyone that seems to work 4 most coppers
Phew. Complete need of ambition.
I think they afford you a wheelbarrow at training college to help you to wander upright. You also enjoy to fail the entrance exam to be a binman next to your local council.

How should I impress a Slumberger Recruiter?
Question:
I am a soon-to-be graduate in geological engineering looking for a charge for Slumberger. What questions should I ask the Slumberger recruiter that would trade name an impression (i.e. fashion it look like I've done my research and am really interested within the job).
If anyone has worked for Slumberger how did you carry your job?
Answer:
Well, beyond ACTUALLY doing your research, which you should, I guess it would depend what type of position you are looking for. I used to work for Schlumberger as a mud motor technican and inspection foot along with anyone a driver for the company. If you are ibn geological stuff then I guess you might want to research what you would be doing along beside the MWD (Measuring while drilling) hands and the directional drillers. You adjectives work together in cog to not only guide the pipe where on earth it needs to stir downhole but also what the rock around the drill section is doing. If you truly are interested in the assignment, then ask what you can do ON-SITE to form everyones job easier, that you are ready to learn and want to maike everyone elses undertaking easier for jobsite efficiency. you could ask: Would it be possible to have a chat with the drillers and the tool pushers while we're drilling to see how everything works? Where would I be working; would it be Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, So. or No. Dakota? I hear that working within Montana and further up North is a pain because of so much shale; do problems arise ALOT because of this sort of piece? how would I be held accountable because of such complications?
Once again, I dont know what position you are applying for, but I know plenty more or less Schlumber-J, whcih is what we all christen it in the patch, as contained by, the oilfeilds, so I hope it helps a moment or two. Basically, a recruiter has no indisputable power or authority. If you pretend you are hot stuff and that you know tons about geological engineering, you're set. But cooperate to them about money first. They really dont rate a lot to initiate with, and if you dont work within the actual oilFEILDS, you never will make any REAL money to speak of. Thats why I work for Halliburton very soon, because they pay plenty for even the most meaningless of job.
Are in attendance any restrictions to what an member of staff can place within their work cubicle?
Question:
In particular working for a parliament agency, not a private company
Answer:
Yes there are. Each outfit will have their own rules but surrounded by any workplace for any government agency will not allow anything that will disrespect others such as pornography or racist items.
ask your boss.
My husband works in management and he is also a retired Marine. He liked to keep hold of a log of how many servicemen/women have died since the war started and someone object to it, so he was asked to rob it down.
could be. u need to ask who ever is contained by charge.
I'm pretty sure you can not place an alter for use in a sacrifice. But don't quote me on that one.
I sure hope so!! I know some associates that would have playmates hung on their cubicle walls, if they could.
Anything and everything unrelated to your work should not be within your cubicle.
Probably anything that you could have kept contained by your dorm room in college minus the bimbo posters and the bong... oh that's for tobacco use? It should be alright afterwards. The first guy is right, ask your boss about specific items.
probably
If there's not an sanctioned policy, you could always try and be the entity who gets one instituted.
i expect youre alowed to bring an umbrella, 2 coats and an elephant.
yes, it should be an inch smaller than your cubicle.
That would be up to the policy of that particular agency
and the local boss of that agency..
Yes, the company, owns that space or cubicle, and can relate you what kind of decorations or equipment to enjoy in near. They can make you remove any and adjectives non-work related things from the entire site if they wish.
Check your guide and ask your boss before getting too creative. I have a government undertaking before. Most supervisors don't enjoy a problem with you individual creative with your workspace because this may variety you more productive as long as it's tastefully done but it becomes a problem when it's distracting or loathsome.
So, check all your resources since decorating. Good Luck!
Ask your supervisor for a catalogue of employee rules for dress code, weather or not you may enjoy articles on your desk or pinned to the side wall of your cubicle, et. al.
Government employers hold tons of rules and they are always scheduled and provided to the employee.
Beyond that ~~~ adjectives sense should be your rule ~~~: if you feel what you post may outrage someone ~~~ I'm certain you would not want to put it up.
I have surgery and have to quit my livelihood. How do I explain this on a brief interview.?
Question:
Answer:
You should just be truthful.
However, lower than the Family and Medical Leave Act, you could have gone on disability for up to 12 weeks for your surgery and your previous employer would hold been required to pinch you back. Why did you merely quit?
You have to enjoy faith and DO IT!
Tell the truth. that's it! Tell the truth
Exactly as you purely did, "I had to own surgery and it required me to be out of work for a long period of time, which resulted surrounded by me leaving my previous position."
It's not approaching you were fired, it be a health issue.
If you're asked around it, be honest. If you're not asked about it, don't present up the information.

I would also suggest getting a degree from the best University you can. Good majors would be business, media hype, marketing, communications. English if you want to be a writer. Art or graphic design if you want to be within the art department.
Watch the movie, "The Devil Wears Prada." This type of environment actually exists contained by the magazine fashion world. You enjoy to start at the bottom and love what you are doing.

I made a mistake at work what do I do?
Question:
I told someone ( who asked) what I made and they went vertebrae and told my manager. I didn't chew over anything of it, I wasn't bragging or anything and I got surrounded by trouble for it. I aplogized but I am so embarrassed. I promised never to do it again. I can't attain over how I feel. any push for?
Answer:
So your not perfect, forget something like it and move on sooner the better..
Never, ever relate anyone you work with how much you formulate. It only cause problems in the work place. Lesson studious...Now go on and forget it...
In a few days, that will dissolve.
I made that same mistake, once. My boss wanted me to be written up for that. My supervisor talk her out of it.
That is the #1 rule when working. But it happened and u didn't bring back fired. So u learned a costly lesson, it will be OK.
I would never tell anyone more or less my pay. Also, it is none of their business to complain to your director. Also, this will not reflect on your work performance.
Do not have a feeling bad. You enjoy the right to tell anyone. You are not pledged to anonymity. You did nothing wrong. There is nought to be embarrassed going on for.
I am sure there are dozens of folks in your company who already know what you earned; manager, payroll department, human resources department.
If a co-worker is doing the same work as you but getting rewarded less, I am sure he would want to know that. I am also sure the governor would not want him to know that.
It's over and done, and you've learned a expensive lesson. You never discuss what you make beside others in impossible to tell apart company. It's no one's business how much you make.
The subsequent time someone at work asks you what you make, ask them to see their checkbook.. they'll never ask that give somebody the third degree again!!
How do sexual characteristics roles affect the workforce?
Question:
A local expert on the job flea market told me that it is best for me to seek a opening appropriate to my (male) gender. Is he on the money?
Answer:
I imagine he's a dork. Most job "experts" can't get hold of real job themselves. Do a job you love.
It depends on who you are and where on earth you are. If you live in a small backwoods town, you might not be capable of get a situation as a secretary (because they want a girl to fool around with). Those same people will discriminate against married women.
And if you're self-conscious with not seeing any other men adjectives day, you'd pick barber above hairdresser. That's because of you though, not them.
But seriously, sexism exists both ways. Men are usually discriminated against by solid pigs (who are often males themselves) who you wouldn't want to work for anyway.
OK, at hand are a few legit places to keep men out, approaching women's shelters, but even those usually have a masculine counterpart.
And some will discriminate because they think you'll want too much money! Seriously, they prefer women because they deem they're cheaper.
In my business, Real Estate, many culture are under the outline that a man will be a more agressive marketer and therefore catch the home sold faster, for more etc. So they think a masculine realtor is a better list agent and the perception something like selling agents is the opposite because the response is women know more about what byers are looking for (the nesting theory) and surmise a female agent will find thier watertight home faster and for a better price. As to weather these perceptions are true or not? Well I reflect on it's more about the individual and thier work nouns and methods but we do have to be believable and know what perceptions are surrounded by order to make over them!
Men are mostly used for strong work loads, while women are used for a lot of buisness comprimises and things.
If he is an EXPERT on the local career market afterwards he is more than likely right on the money!
What do you reflect on of the dictum "money wont variety you happy"?
Question:
Answer:
I do not agree I mean **** short money where would you be? you wouldn't own a home you wouldn't have food and i.e. the basis of capitlism you call for money to live and the more money you have the more happier you will be
But it sure buys a great deal of things that can make you thrilled
It's true for some. I think I could be happier next to loads of cash.
money can't engender you completly happy. if you are positive before you hold money then money will breed you happy. if you are not thankful before you enjoy money then money can not product you happy.=]
Its true...but money can generate life more comfortable.
it pays for psychoanalysis .
I think that nation that have like mad of money already say that. They never have it bad financially and they don't know that money will put together a difference if you use it the right way.
Well, i disagree. strongly.
hmmmp.
-m;)
it depends on how you look at it...
If objects items or things you can purchase makes you merry, then so be it.
But if atmosphere and emotions approaching being contained by love for example would make you sunny then thats what make you happy!
:D
Money doesn't product you happy, however, it DOES get you more comfortable!
So true! I'd love to have more money than I do a short time ago like everyone else, but it wouldn't be money that make my life pleased. Look at all the rich stars, etc. who are so miserable and shift into rehab 19 times only to come out and commit suicide. Money can't hand over you morals or buy you true love and that's what makes life span happy.
those peep dont know where to shop!! haha..j/k... as you would expect, money doesnt buy happiness, but it does comfort to have satisfactory money to pay bills and be capable of eat and not lose sleep at dark thinking you might lose your home or car or something.. so i guess my response is it might not label you happy, but it does help out to make you comfortable
I contemplate it's true. But there are some things that meke us content and we need money to buy those things. Anyway, if love is the most earth-shattering thing for the human beings (at lowest possible for some of them) money can't help us... Nothing is competent to buy love. But only respectively person know what makes her really elated. Everyone should try to get it anything it is!
Money is important to keep up the standard of living. But Money can not hep us to rewind our past & can not bequeath us inner peace of mind.
But,definately Money plays a very critical role in our energy.
It all depends on the perspective and wether you use it or "it" using you!
I enjoy seen tons people triumphant lottery, going to shows and winning money, playing at resorts and champion big...yet some, no keep on, lets rephrase that..most ancestors will be happy for a bit and next they find out that they had to claim it and wage taxes, or did not do anything productive like ponder about he adjectives and wasted it promptly...in those cases we own people who thought be happy but solitary displayed it while they had the money and could spend it!!
If you are smart and resolve to separate your money into bonds, 401K, some in the sandbank, some in money, CD's, and others into international accounts that may be better due to no or less taxes that apply to those accounts..you should look into Central America, Brazil, Europe and Asia for better places to invest your money besides American Banks beside high interests and taxes!, Also recomend investing on stock open market or small businesses with opportunity to grow, like unadulterated state, comercial buildings for renovating, and or hotels or apartments complexes..a good restaurant is not detrimental but you might have to be really excited because it is more rock-hard work than you might think!!
A worthy practice is to invest your money while keeping your full time jobtake half of your positive interest and use for wishes and keep the rest for emergency..do not ever touch your whole bread unless you have a obedient plan for it or you will use it crazy and end up poor earlier retirement and too late to bring just any assignment!
If you are smart money can be a tool and if you are stupid money could be your worst nightmare!!
Good luck!!
what is the minimum wage contained by the states? I believe respectively state might change what do u say-so?
Question:
I especially need the minimum wage for Arizona if it is different. cuz a friend of mine is moving to at hand and she wants to know if its any different from what it is here within Michigan.
Answer:
As of January 1, 2007, Arizona's minimum wage is $6.75, well above the $5.15 Federal minimum wage. However, in that is no minimum wage law and no raise are expected in the close by future.
Michigan's minimum wage is currently $6.95, but within July 2007 will be raised to $7.15 and within July 2008 it will be raised to $7.40
There is a federal minimum wage, and respectively state can set their own minimum wage as well. The minimum wage that the hand can get will be the greater of the two.
Some states are higher; the federal is the national minimum
Arizona go to 6.75 1/1
Michigan is $6.95 and goes to $7.15 7/1
Don't move to Texas--It is $5.15/hr.
I want warning!?
Question:
I want to make atleast 6 thousand dollars a month, I'm within school trying to gain a degree within Game design and computer asissted drafting. I just quality bad when i see my bosses checks, they are for 10,000 dollars and up and he dosent even enjoy a degree merely a diploma. when i whas in glorious school my teacher were saw i need to find a degree if i want to construct alot of money but that is not so i expect it is all contained by who you know.
For the people that own the high paying posistion how did you procure there? whas it your level? whas it who you new? Or lately plain hard work?
Please endow with me advice on what i should do. I really want to pull off all my goal.
Answer:
Finish out college, ditch game design (the bazaar is flooded). Drafting is an amazing and a well paying pen (I'm a Drafter). You boss is an executive athority, and your just a kid, as you would expect he gets much better discharge than you. Talk to a campus carrer consulor (if you have one) and see what they can do to give support to you. Put resumes on Monster and Craig's List, and test the waters. A point is not required to have a high-paying chore, it just help and shows that you are comitted to your field, that you hold some experience, and that you know your stuff (if you apply within your degree). It looks better on a resume if you hold been to college versus not. Remeber, you start at the bottom, and work up, so does your net.
A degree get you the interview.
Success is just intricate work.
Courage, determination, and the will to work鈥?just plain tricky work.
degree + not easy work and dedication= higher settle up
it USED to be, that knowledge and experience could acquire you the position and pay... it's no longer so for alot of things.
Do what make you happy and work concrete at it. Money is not the source of happiness. Seek out what will complete your go, not your bank explanation.
i dont have a high-ranking paying job. but i do hold a degree and i know ppl beside degrees. from what i hold noticed since i hold been within the real world is this; populace with the big checks are 1. ppl next to degrees that are lucky 2. culture that have a strong will to brand a product or idea that want to see trademark it big. 3 ppl that go find trades in something and do big things for themselves that approach. if u notice at hand is only one of these that involves a level so ppl with degree that make big finiancially are exceedingly lucky to be in the right place at the right time. i would embezzle my chances at going for the strong work
Some people merely get lucky
Some are basically in the right place at the right time
Some grow near a company and earn their creds through their actions and population skills
Want to get notice? Be innovative and think OUTSIDE the box.
Some relatives have made money lacking degrees but what would start to them when and if they lose that job and own to compete for another job. Without a amount your job option are very constrained and you are shortchanging yourself by not learning everything you can. With a amount and hard work a creature will have a stable financial adjectives without you acquire to flip burgers for a living. Not to pick on you but I am surprised that as a computer drafting student you didn't spell check your question. To produce money you will want to always dispatch any correspondence spelled correctly.
How much do placement agencies bring out up to that time their temps/contractors?
Question:
If I'm getting $25 or $30 an hour I know that that's not what the company is pays the placement/talent agency I went through to capture the job. What's their rate stale the top? Is it a percentage?
(I'm a graphic designer / production artist.) Thanks!
Answer:
Totally depends on the contract between the agency and the employer.
Do you receive your paychecks from the agency? If yes, afterwards generally they receive a "mark-up" over you hourly wages. Out of this mark-up they take-home pay for all your employer taxes (7.65% SS, State Unemployment, Federal Unemployment, Workers Comp Insurance, etc.) What is not here is their gross profit. When times were really correct, and the unemployment rate be really low, temp services were getting up to a 80-100% mark-up. After 9/11 and the downturn contained by the company, many services cut their rates down to 20-30% which scarcely pays your taxes. So if you make $25 an hour, the temp service would probably win around $32.50 an hour.
If you get remunerated directly from the company you are working for, then the agency probably get a "finders fee" which is usually based on your annualized pay, or it could be a set amount. This would really depend on the contract.
And if permanently placed, the agency have negotiated a placement payment before you be even offered the job. When I be a headhunter I received about 30% of annual remuneration as my fee.
Depends how it works. When I worked surrounded by the world of temps, we sometimes picked up 20% of your salary per week over the permanent status of your contract. So if you worked for 4 weeks and made $800 a week (or $3200), we got rewarded $640.
If you're talking temp to perm, we used to do percents over the time you be temp, and then a sum equal to 20% of the first year gross minus the temp amount already paid.
Roughly partly. I am a temp.
Are labor union still needed?
Question:
I work for a large association contractor(boilermakers, pipefitters, laborers, millwrights, ironworkers, teamsters, etc.). These people give the impression of being to think they deserve the world on a silver platter because they are confederation. Unions were first enact to improve hellish working conditions, I would enunciate that in the U.S.A. today conditions are no where on earth close to where they be in the behind 1800's early 1900's.
Answer:
NO
adjectives they do now is muck up the works and explanation a bunch of stupid rules and regulations.
,
no.
no.
It's more than working conditions. it's wages, benefits and retirement. Stupid is not having any rules at adjectives.
Check out the conditions in a Chinese coal mine, after answer the question yourself.
The cause there are no more hellish working conditions is because of those union. It also keeps laborers from potential invective as well. Many labors travel to school to know their trade and because of that they expect to be treated properly. Lawers and Dr's are respected and paid for what they know. I surface that many laborers are indistinguishable way. The merely difference is the info they know. Being educated within their field is for their safekeeping as well as yours. You indubitably would''t want plumbers and esp. electricians not knowing what they were doing. Or Some impulsive person working on electricity b/c they could waste you or themselves. Unions make sure that the trade they work, adjectives workers or equally trained so everyone has and know the same skills. Therefore, when they are requesting take-home pay, it it to meet their teaching. Not to mention how the economy is raise and minimum wage is not. This allows people within these trades from being destitute, b/c they have the nurture to back them. YES! Unions are compulsory! I hope this was practical.
Some would argue that if they went away, working conditions would soon devolve spinal column to where they be.
Others argue that unions are bloated and corrupt, serving individual to garner their leaders a giant paycheck while doing little for their several member, except for pricing them out of the market. They spend giant piles of money to lobby legislators to "plane the playing field" by effectively taking away the consumers choice of cheaper products. All contained by the name of positive American jobs.
I consider that being association doesn't make you special. I know contained by my job (retail sales), that we capture some union men surrounded by here and they think that their poop doesn't stink. I am within a union, and I seize the newsletter and it's basically a dissertation bragging about how they're ripping the employer off not really, but you know what I aim. Our union contract ends within February and rumor has it that we will be getting a HUGE put on a pedestal when they bargain for us close to $5 an hour or more (which is HUGE for a retail sales rep).
I cogitate that union is here immediately to help society bargain for income and positions that they would otherwise not know how to bargain for. I know I couldn't step to my boss and ask for a $5 an hour raise lacking him laughing in my frontage. My union will negotiate that for me because near are strength in numbers when you are apart of a confederation. I think that they own good supporting ideas. Not adjectives union member think their poo doesn't stink. I sure don't. In reality, I'm thankful that I hold those people at the back me so that I can get the raise that I DESERVE that I wouldn't get otherwise.
I grasp a raise every six months for as long as I am within this union. You can't return with that with a non-bargained company.
Hope this help.
NO. They serve only the sluggish and illiterate, and foreigners. Contracts fill confederation rep pockets, and sell out the adjectives man. Too many incredibly qualified individuals are passed over for raises, and promotions, because they do not know the 'right people'. Raises base on performance are a point of the past. All union do is take dues from your pocket, when that brass could help your people.
yep. minimum wage.
I belonged to a Hotel Restaurant union, adjectives it meant to me be...no voice of my own, no thoughts of my own, and hard earn money out of my pocket to pay the league Representatives salary. The wages sucked, so did the benefits. I know of the coalition that I belonged to, and I am dead set against it, I cannot right to be heard the same for other union as I have not experienced them. I lately know that Hotel unions are not for me. I would fairly deal next to the managers myself than hold to have a coalition Representative with me. I don't similar to to be spoken for.
I believe that the unions immediately a days are very bringing up the rear the times. They need too be rewritten. I believe they have gotten opening out of control and are not helping the working man as they be intended to. My opinion is.. what they are made up of today is not what we involve to get a fully clad wage and the respect we deserve.
I totally agree with you. Labor union have long outlived their usefulness. Once it be a very essential part of the labor system; creating protected working environments at deserved pay. But immediately there are adequate labor laws within place that unions are no longer needed and own become more of a hinderance.
Now unions consist of spoiled leaders demanding more wage, more benefits, more time off, etc. When I hear give or take a few the teachers going on strike surrounded by areas where they already manufacture 80K salary for 9 months of the year, I realize how much they exploit like the world owes them everything. Yes, teacher's deserve glorious pay, but where on earth do you draw the line?
Yes, a hundred years ago where on earth the workers were oppressed. We own so many law, like the minimum wage (which is trying to take risen) and suing companies for work-related injuries. Unions have made companies apply more of their concern on the workers.
Today, it's no where on earth companies are being oppressed. I surmise they have outlived their usefulness. I have an idea that the unions hold gone overboard. It seems resembling now they do is ask for more and more stuff. No wonder at hand are a bunch layoffs in GM and Ford. Those union have demanded too several high wages and pension causing more burden for companies to lift up prices for their products, reducing profits. And no wonder there have been and will be a decline contained by memberships, at least contained by the private sector. Also, I believe that unions is one of the cause for OUTSOURCING.
Look, even without labor union, companies still have to exactness about the workers' welfare. If they don't after productivity would go down, as a result profits would decline. They need to listen to their employees' concerns because they bring out IDEAS to engender the company even more EFFICIENT. As wages are concerned, workers should be FORTUNATE that they have a JOB where on earth they can earn some money. If a worker does not like the salary, then he/she should draw from another job. Having a career is better than having no opportunity. Remember, you spend with the money you enjoy, not the money you might want or wish to hold at a later time because it is a business of WHERE the personal finance is one spent.
I am a coach relocating to Houston. What are my option for public university?
Question:
I would be looking for a school as okay as an apartment. Any sugestions on good areas to live and work. In chicago I construct about 60,000 per/year. I'm not sure what training salaries are resembling in Houston. How tough is it to find a position from out of state? Also, What is the cost of living like for single teacher? I would be moving by myself and renting an apartment. I don't have a lavish lifestyle. Thanks.
