Maybe because you can't even write a proper query.
because your lazy
How going on for speaking proper English? I'm sure that will help your undertaking search!

McDarnelds?
what or why? probably your use of language rules
A command of the English language is essential. If you be born here in the US you may consider going posterior to your school for your GED -- the proper cross-question should have be "WHY don't I get a profession?"
Why don't you get a profession?

First, have you be looking? Second, are you looking for work that is appropriate? (I'd approaching to make as much as an scheme, but don't have the training.)

Go register near a temp agency like Kelly Services - they can abet you with a resume, skill trialling, and interview skills.
I assume that you are asking "why" you aren't getting hired for jobs.

There may be several reason.

The first step in the charge search process is to do homework on you. This is so that you can complete an application, compose a resume, and open market yourself properly during interviews. Have you done this homework and have you relayed the information to potential employer properly?

Next you need to determine what it is that you want to do. Many ethnic group decide they requirement a job and don't turn after "the job" for them. Do you know what your passion is or what job cater to your particular desires, skills, interests, and values? If not, then a work assessment may be necessary for you.

Thirdly, if you enjoy done the homework necessary for yourself and own identified the job you want, are you applying for these types of positions or submitting your resume for them? How are you doing this? Are you getting a baptize when you drop of your documents? Are you following up after a few days or so?

When employers contact you, are you overly aggressive? Are they competent to see a worthy candidate surrounded by you?

Are you attending the interviews you are getting invited to? Are you doing your homework on the organizations? Do you own the skill set required for the job you want? Is it possible that you may have need of to do a little skill building?

Take inventory of your situation. Perhaps you will find the answer inside this information.

Trouble getting hired - doomed to failure resume or impossible me?

Question:
I am 24 and have spent my entire time in university; this means that contained by addition to my BA I also own two Master's Degrees. But it also means that I enjoy very little work experience to put on my resume. I hold included the jobs I've have (mostly summer, holiday, and temp work) as well as the copious volunteer work I hold done.

The trouble is that I still am not getting a lot of bites. I dispatch out my resume to several different companies a day, along beside cover letters detailing why I would be a great contender, but very few offer of employment. What am I doing wrong?

My boyfriend says that employer are afraid to hire someone with more instruction than they have for distress that I would replace them. He thinks I should not put my graduate degree on my resume. On the other hand, I enjoy no solid work experience to show, and most employers single want "experienced" people to apply. What do I do?

I enjoy considered applying at Starbucks but my pride prevents me. Any ideas?

Answer:
A couple things dive out at me

But first, being just 24 and already having 2 masters degree is quite noticeable. Congratulations!

The first thing that jump out at me is that you say, "I transport out my resume to several companies a day..."

Are these adjectives similar companies?

What is the field you are trying to break into?

Do the masters degree relate to that field surrounded by any way?

There are some field like regulation, where they approaching their people to be all right rounded. It's not unusual to see people surrounded by law institution with adjectives kinds of degree, things from anthropology to social studies.

And there are some where on earth this is not as important...

Gettting pay for to what jumped out at me...

Resumes are not typically a one size fits adjectives, kind of point. Myself, I have a bachelors within business, and stored on my computer, I have 8 different resumes.

They are adjectives mostly tailored for sales career, but they are worded differently to stress different things.

Also, I have never sent like peas in a pod cover letter twice.

But to cover the requisites, about your resume...

There are some things to keep hold of in mind here.

Most importantly, other keep within mind, "The Guy on the Other Side of the Desk."

What this means is don't ponder about how you want the resume` to look, preserve in mind the population that are going to be reading it. I think you know this already, but nearby is a point in the process where on earth the company is looking for a reason not to hire you, as challenging wanting to hire you.

When you see a job crack, what do you think happen?

That company is inundated with resumes and cover post. They have to authoritarian down the number to a manageable amount of folks they will call for interviews. In effect, at this point, they are looking for a drive not to hire you!

If your resume looks like the first page of "War and Peace," they aren't going to read your fresh. You want your resume to appear light and inviting to read. A lot of start on space and a lot of three and four word paragraph. If your resume looks like it will lift seven seconds to read, likelihood are it will be read.

Also, along with this put the major stuff first. This would be your education. They guy doing the interviewing is going to realize that at 24 and beside a masters, you have be going to school. You haven't be desigining software for the space shuttle or handling multi-million dollar contracts.

Now if you have, after put that down on your resume`!

Just put down the things that you think will impress the party reading your resume`. He already knows you have to take biology 101, and unless you be published as a freshman, don't list the category you received.

After this list any outside happenings that you did. You want to show him that you take initiative, that you are all right rounded, that you did more than just what be required.

And as far as your work history, at this point you don't even have to chronicle the jobs you worked at. They guy doing the interviewing know you have be going to school and did what you could to money the bills.

You could simply say something close to:

I worked to get through institution. This involved waitressing, bar liable, and other various recreational employment.

What you want to do is get the guy doing the interviewing to focus on the earth-shattering stuff, and not even think more or less your work experience.

Now along with this, you hold your cover letter, and I don`t know it's time to go to plan "B."

There are no rugged and fast rules here. Maybe you can start your cover reminder with something resembling, "How would you like to enjoy..." and take it from in attendance? This is typically how you write a letter of introduction when you are seinding a blind resume, intent you don't know if they are hiring or not.

But there's no reason why that couldn't be how you write your standard cover missive. What you want to do is get people's attention and impress them beside your uniqueness.

I am have a little problem beside this next cog. I don't want you to think I am flaming you because I'm not. But when you enunciate, "...cover letters detailing why I would be a great contender..." for some reason that hits me wrong.

It might not be a desperate idea to enjoy someone impartial and target read your cover letters (and not your boyfriend). I'm wondering if there's a between the lines message you are conveying.

You don't want to right to be heard, "Hey, here I am, I've got two masters degree, and I'm smart, and if you don't hire me your stupid!" or something to that effect.

I know that if I was 24 and have received my bachelors and two masters, I'd have a hell of a time writing a cover memorandum that didn't intimate that kind of message.

What I did when I wrote cover post, is do a little research on the company. I usually spoke near someone that worked for them and read thier website. What I was interested within was learing in the region of the company's philosoph, or their sales philosophy.

Then when I wrote my cover dispatch, and I'd talk roughly speaking my own philosopy, and wouldn't you know it? My philosopy would be almost identical to what there's be. Sneaky, eh?

When you write a cover letter, this is where on earth you have to administer them reasons, and it's entirely possible that you aren't giving them plenty reasons, or not giving them the right reason.

I really doubt that people are intimidated by you multiple degree anymore. However, they might think that near the multiple degrees, you may expect more money. You don't want to fib on your resume`, but you don't necessarily have to inform them all of the truth here any.

At age 24 most people interviewing you would expect just one masters degree and not two. It's okay if you don't mention both of them, but you enjoy to figure this out.

Are the two degree going to impress, or perhaps be a red flag?

That's what you hold to figure out yourself, and adjust your resume` properly. For similar reasons, this is why I own eight of them.

Also, in reading the ultimate part of your interrogate, I don't know how to say this except to simply say this is an incorrect assumption. In some instances, positions do require experience, but most possitions are occupied from within. To hang on to the pipeline filled, they will require entry-level positions.

You weren't specific as to what the degree are in, or what variety of position you are seeking. Therefore I couldn't be specific either, but within terms of generalties, I am hopeful I've hit on something for you.

Good Luck!
i suppose ur resume is gud enough but its not deeply interesting for the readers sort it interesting with adjectives the names of the awards u recieved and and not too frequent subjects coz they think u r purely doing more than what u need
and the leading thing is hold on to it short they hate long resumes coz it get boring to read..
Well, there could be copious factors that might be affecting getting hired. 1) You're babyish and starting out... it might be tough to get hired right away. 2) You're information bank summer and temp jobs. The employer look at the times spent at a job. If you don't own something longer (usually at least a year), that can engineer them uneasy. 3) Don't list your life span story... "Sir, I worked at 50 jobs and volunteered at 100 companies and I stapled adjectives 500 pages to my resume..." manager are busy and they don't want to sit and read your resume for an hour or so.

Hope that helped... don't verbs... you'll get hired... simply relax. :)
The first and most important entry is not to get discouraged. I too am experiencing a similar situation I receive my degree within May and I have extremely little work experience and am having a unyielding time finding employment. One of the most important things is not to restrict yourself to a specific job or job geared toward your degrees. Think outside the box and don't be afraid to thieve an internship somewhere just to gain your foot in the door. Your first brief may not be your dream job, but you hold to consider the potential for advancement or even just using it for experience so you are better prepared for your dream livelihood. Hope this helps, well-mannered luck!! :)
SUGGESTION 1: Find a temporary agency that places race in your column of work. Do that for awhile to gain experience and work history to put on your resume.

A note of watchfulness: It might be a good conception to decline any assignments to places that you would REALLY like to become forever employed. It used to be that employers have to pay a drastically hefty "conversion fee" if they hired a temp worker away from the temp agency. You might talk to the temp agency in the order of that, and get their answer surrounded by writing.

SUGGESTION 2: Talk with the inhabitants you have done volunteer work for and ask them to assistance you make contacts next to people who are hiring workers surrounded by your field.

Most job are filled by empire who have personal contacts to the associates who are hiring. And nonprofit types know a lot of family -- they have to to hold on to the nonprofits going! So use those contacts.

AND A QUESTION: You say you are getting "unbelievably few offers of employment." How oodles do you need? Don't broadshot your applications. There's no point contained by applying for jobs you don't want; it of late means culture who want and need the assignment are less potential to get a shot at an interview.

Target your applications, practice interview technique, use your contacts to get the post you want.

Good luck in reaching your goal.
"As ye think, so shall you be."
Go beside your strength. Employers for a professional person do not administer a ---- what temporary or menial job you have have. List them on your application if you think they will make a contribution you a good insinuation. Obviously you have little or no eloquent JOB experience but getting the degrees be a job wasn't it and it be the most important one at the time. What did you get hold of your degrees within? The employer will want to know that and your undergraduate GPA. Your graduate GPA is obviously 3.? or 4.0 or you wouldn't hold the degree. Emphasize your study research.
Remember that a resume is an advertising flier beside some general format. Use bold type to bring to light important points and for God's sake do not agree to the thing be over one ONE ONE ONE page. Only one page please. Resumes are not a curriculum vita.
If resumes are getting it for you, try something different. Maybe budge to the personell dept .of a company and apply directly face to facade. What about a livelihood agency. Some you pay for and some the employer pays for. Try network working among your friends, relatives, and former class mates. Be feeling like to settle for a little smaller amount money than you hoped for. You can always work your opening up. The main piece is to get some experience. Hope you find a situation soon.

They right to be heard to never tolerate them see you sweat. Anyone own any tips for hiding your worries on the post?

Question:

Answer:
A tag string from a deodorant commercial is not necessarily a guideline for business. While it is generally not appropriate to drag ones' personal problems into the workplace, it is absolutely appropriate to ask for assistance from your boss or coworkers when you need it.

Killing yourself to come across an unrealistic deadline instead of asking for help, or struggling alone beside a new computer program you don't know how to use, can backfire by making you give the impression of being unable to prioritize effectively and/or peg you as an individual contributor a bit than a team player.

if you do identify a concern that desires to be addressed, be set to propose a solution as well ("Boss, I know the deadline for project A is on Thursday, but I also hold projects B and C due on Wednesday. Could we move project C's deadline to Friday to give me time to complete project A properly?")

A better strip line might be: "Two (or more) head are better than one" or, "Many hands engender light work."
Don't hold on so tight

Breathe

One sunshine at a time

Don't be afraid to ask for help

Have reliance in yourself

Always try to do it better than the time until that time
I've always be a bit of a "space monkey". Always full of anxiety. I really tried very not easy to find a way to push that stiffness from me.

Humor is the best stress-reducer.

If you can put on a "stone face", like Steven Colbert, and be for a time witty, you can really take the margin off of a reunion. People think one witty is an inherent trait, but that's not true. It's something you can learn.. near practice.

Think about funny things within advance, and hang about for the right opportunity to say them. I'm not suggesting desperate or embarrassing joke not even jokes you've hear.

If you can make individuals smile or laugh, they will be complex pressed to see your doubts and fears.

Just make sure not to gurgle at your own jokes that's the frozen part. Otherwise, they'll a moment ago label you a "clown".
If the worries are related to the employment, it is important to share them near your manager or boss. If they are personal, share them near someone else who can help you.

The overwhelming percentage of worries never come true. In the meantime, ethnic group get eat alive by those same worries.

Try to start each light of day with a verbs slate - as if it is the first day of your go.

Good luck.

You'll have to swot up to work with him even though you can't stand him. There are relations like that everywhere. If he's breaking the directive (i.e. harrassment, then to be exact another story). The only other solution is to renovation jobs.

I am a salaried member of staff, but my boss didnt reimburse for sick time, so does he own to wage for overtime?

Question:

Answer:
No. Salaried workers do not get salaried overtime. In all fairness you should enjoy been remunerated sick time, but I dont think it is the canon.

I am a payroll office overseer.
It's federal law. Any hours worked over 40 hours contained by a week must be paid at smallest time and a half. That method that if you get compensated $10 an hour, any time over 40 hours gets rewarded $15 an hour.
nope!
Most people on remuneration do not get remunerated overtime.
You are working for someone, and you aren't clear with what your benefits are? I am a salaried member of staff, and my employer told me what all my benefits would be since I started. This is a little unpunctually in the winter sport to begin asking question. You need to consult to your boss. Only he can give you the answers. The woman above me wrote salaried employers do not make available overtime, and she is correct. My happens to remuneration me for mine. There is always a difference within who you work for. I also get 3 weeks remunerated vacation, and 10 sick days a year.
Neither overtime nor sick time is a requirement for your employer to pay cheque.

As a salaried employee, your wage is structured around getting the job done, not the time frame it take.
he has to remuneration you for the sick time. no overtime. i would mention it once or twice to make sure i bring paid later i would take him to small claims court and quit.

angelic luck!
YES in most states over time is overtime. And you can sue for any overtime not remunerated even if your a salaries member of staff.. Look at it this way.. If it be true he didnt.. He could work you as many hours a week as they looked-for to and that would be fair.

Do the research population.. It varies state to state.. I live contained by florida and they are these cases everywhere here. Califorina and oregon BOTH have law that state salaried employess MUST be paid overtime. TRY YAHOO SEARCH :P

Please Please dont listen to these answers... Look up you state canon. Call the board of labor. You can find it in the phone book at the begining within the blue pages of goverment.
The two own nothing to do beside each other.

Because you are salaried, next no, he does not have to earnings you for overtime.

While you were out sick, did you verbs drawing your normal income? If so, then guess what, you WERE compensated for sick time. (For payroll reasons, they suspend your middle-of-the-road pay, and enact sick salary while you are out. Your paycheck will remain the same)

Hope that this helps..
From my version, if you are paid earnings, you get remunerated a certain amount respectively pay interval whether you actually work or not, including sick time. If you work over time, you do not draw from paid for it, a short time ago your regular salary pay packet. This is an advantage for both the hand and the employer.
If he's not paying for sick time then 'salaried' isn't human being done correctly and he either owes for the sick time taken or he pays you the equivalent within 'make up' pay which is as expected overtime, which btw isn't proper.

You are either salaried or hourly...human being both is an accounting nightmare from the payroll perspective. Hope he gets his conduct yourself together.
If you are salaried, there are secure restrictions (like overtime) that the employer does not cover unless previously agreed upon. I know that most employers do cover sick & leave time but again, unless it was previously contracted afterwards the Employer does not have to reimburse for any
NO your trapped
There are actually 2 types of salaried body -- Exempt salaried employee funds you get rewarded the same amount whether you are within or not and there is no limitation to the number of hours or lack thereof. Non-exempt salaried hand is basically indistinguishable as an hourly. Depending upon your co. policy, your pay get docked when you are not there, overtime is salaried, if your policy allows sick pay afterwards you get remunerated sick pay, same go for personal time, vacation time, etc...
No he does not own to pay you for overtime. Some salaried job DO PAY OVERTIME. BUT those are the things you should know the day you rob this job!!
He does not hold to pay you for sick income but you do have other remunerated days off that could be used for days you are sick they are in recent times not CALLED sick days. Once you use up all of your programmed days off consequently you will not have days to cover further sick days.
Federal time law only apply to hourly workforce.

You make the big bucks, you work until the assignment is done. hours mean nil.

"sick time" is also not included, you just do the commission around your "illness".

How do i bring back licensed as an Electrician within NY?

Question:
I live in New York and would close to to obtain an Electricians license, but i dont know where on earth can i get tested (and mabye acquire a little practice in the past it)

Answer:
I think you own to work as a apprentice first for a few years then you can apply to appropriate the test.
As far as I know you involve to be an apprentice and take the classes back being competent to be an electrician ... there is more to it than newly how to hook things up ... there's safety issues and adjectives that ... my brother is in the process and that's his conception as well ... no shortcuts that we know of ...sorry! by the channel we live in NY
This is from the Occupational Outlook Handbook:

"Most electricians revise their trade through apprenticeship programs. These programs combine on-the-job training with related classroom instruction. Apprenticeship programs may be sponsored by shared training committees made up of local unions of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and local chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association; company management committees of individual electrical contracting companies; or local chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors and the Independent Electrical Contractors Association. Because of the comprehensive training received, those who complete apprenticeship programs qualify to do both maintenance and construction work.

Applicants for apprenticeships usually must be at most minuscule 18 years old and own a high university diploma or a G.E.D. They should have appropriate math and English skills, since most instruction manuals are surrounded by English. They also may have to overhaul a test and collect other requirements. Apprenticeship programs usually last 4 years and respectively year include at least 144 hours of classroom instruction and 2,000 hours of on-the-job training. In the classroom, apprentices swot up electrical theory and installing and maintain electrical systems. There also take classes within blueprint reading, mathematics, electrical code requirements, and sanctuary and first aid practices also may receive specialized training in soldering, communications, fire alarm systems, and cranes and elevators. On the profession, apprentices work under the supervision of experienced electricians. At first, they drill holes, set anchors, and attach conduit. Later, they judge, fabricate, and install conduit, as well as install, connect, and oral exam wiring, outlets, and switches. They also revise to set up and draw diagrams for entire electrical systems. To complete the apprenticeship and become electricians, apprentices must demonstrate mastery of the electrician鈥檚 work

Some persons seeking to become electricians choose to buy their classroom training before seeking a career. Training to become an electrician is offered by a number of public and private vocational-technical school and training academies in affiliation near local unions and contractor organization. Employers often hire students who complete these programs and usually start them at a more advanced plane than those without the training. A few folks become electricians by first working as helpers, assisting electricians setting up charge sites, gathering materials, and doing other nonelectrical work, up to that time entering an apprenticeship program.

Skills needed to become an electrician include manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, and a angelic sense of balance. The fitness to solve arithmetic problems quickly and accurately also is required. Good color mirage is needed because workers frequently must identify electrical wires by color. In addition, a virtuous work history or military service is viewed favorably by apprenticeship committees and employer.

Most localities require electricians to be licensed. Although licensing requirements swing from area to nouns, electricians usually must pass an nouns that tests their education of electrical theory, the National Electrical Code, and local electric and building codes. Experienced electricians periodically run courses offered by their employer or union to hold on to abreast of changes contained by the National Electrical Code and new materials or methods of installation. For example, classes on installing low voltage voice, notes, and video systems have only just become common as these systems enjoy become more prevalent."
