Its great fun, make loads of friends and catch drinks bought you all the time, out socialising minus spending. I have never have a fight on my shift, customers respect their pub and me. Pulling pints is totally easy. If you want to work within a bar that serves cocktails you will want to remember all ingredients.

I work surrounded by a pub one night a week, and I can honestly speak that that side of it is fun. It is fun to serve the customers / talk to the customers etc. But the stuff that isnt fun is the stuff that go on behind the scene. The changing of the barrels, the bottling up, the cleaning of the pipes etc etc. I enjoy been doing if for 3 years presently, but as I said, only one dark a week. If it was my full time charge then I deem I would have disappeared ages ago.

Hard work but if you are with worthy people you own a brilliant laugh. Expect the chance as you know drink brings emotions out to extremes. I have fights, drinks bought and even a cheeky girl wanting some one on one within a dark corner! Its a devout experience

I loved it. But I think I be lucky as the pub I worked in never have any trouble and the landlord be very laid hindmost.
It's a great way to come across people, but it can be complicated work (and you have to put up near the pub bore).

Working within a pub can be hard work because the hours are long you achieve a lot of singing abuse thrown at you but on the upside you do go and get to talk to really interesting general public
