What are the pros and cons for working at a State University?

I worked for San Diego State University when I was younger. The profession was great because it be a "government" type position, and the politics were not impossible. The down side was solely getting paid once a month and horrible parking. The benefits be good and the students be 95% of the time very pleasent.
I be a seceratry in one of the Departments, so I be always on the phone or scheduling assembly with faculty and the students.

I made some nice money at first, but once I found out these sites were legal, I started adding referral and the money got closely better. For every person you refer, you return with 20% of what they earn. And for every person that one of your referral refer you get 10% on one site and 5% on the other. I applied for a position at a physical therapy department (an office position, not clinical). I supplied my resume and chock-full out an application. The application asked for references, employment history, schooling, and information to do a background check, credit check, criminal check, etc. If I am special for the next round, they will also distribute me an IQ test, aptitude experiment and personality exam. The job pays $13/hour. What concerns me is that my paperwork be being hand around to the receptionists, etc. I am concerned that any background checks, etc., that are run on me will be hand around in a similar posture. I have nought "to hide" just a few speeding tickets and some credit card debt. Nothing beyond the basic; however, I am concerned with the cavalier carriage in which this department is handling sensitive info. Plus, I cannot understand what an IQ oral exam, etc., has to do near anything. (I have a BA amount, which is more than the job requires. THOUGHTS?

I looked it over and realized it be a sophisticated psychological diagnostic tool (I used to work for a child psychologist). I asked who got that form and be told the office officer. At that point I walked out near the form. If someone is not trained to intelligently interpret the results of such a tool, they have no business giving it out and expecting empire to fill it out. As an applicant you hold every right to be concerned about what you are committing to article and who is reviewing it and how it is to be evaluated. I really think it's over the row, but then again it boils down to how much you want the errand.
