You know how, when you apply for a job, sometimes they present you a test? It asks you things similar to "have you ever stolen from your employer," "would you report your own mother," "do you believe the manager contained by this story was right surrounded by firing the employee," etc.

This employee is immediately insisting he is entitled to a minimum 8 hours pay per hours of daylight (Mon-Fri), whether we have work for him or not. I disagree as his lingo of employment were an alteration on their previous terms and within will be many weeks where on earth he is paid for hours not worked.
