I would suggest you check into it, but if your boss terminates you...you qualify for job loss. But if you quit...you are SOL ($hit outa luck). It might be uncomfortable around the bureau, but take the unpaid time bad...take the exam...and the consequences...and move about from there. If the boss fires you, you are no worse stale than if you quit.
