Can a entity retire at 57?

Question:
I've been at my duty for 20 years. I have deeply od problems with my legs. I'm on my foot alot. I need to to something to security the pain. I'm afraid eventually I'll own to quit.

Answer:
If you are not under some sort of employment contract dictating otherwise, you can work when, where on earth, how and IF you want. Supporting yourself and finding suitable benefits (like health insurance) for you and anyone dependent upon you are separate issues, but they do motivate most middle class folks to work until their social collateral benefits kick contained by. Medicare kicks within then as in good health and you have only just increased your quality of energy possibilities by simply surviving birthdays!

Some jobs still reimburse a pension after so much time within "the system", but this is not very adjectives in today's labor marketplace due to so may people switching job more frequently than their parents did. The 401(k), 403(b), IRA, etc. replaced pensions, but solely if you fund them with your own pre-tax dollars.

I know this sounds in full view, but add up your sources of income, including the let go from any investments you want to begin using and subtract your expenses. Do this on an annual or monthly idea, whichever is easier for you to think almost. Consider about 3.5% narrowing in your investments annually for inflation (or a 3.5% increase contained by your exenses), another reduction for taxes, etc. and so on and so on. See if you can live on what you hold (or can get). There are many other considerations to consider. The software that can answer your give somebody the third degree completely is quite complex, but some simpler examples of it are available at some financial planning websites, approaching morningstar.com., fidelity.com, vanguard.com, etc. Play around with the numbers.

While you are doing this, switch on considering jobs you can do sitting down some or most of the work light of day. Your mind is probably not as tired as you body, so don't give up too precipitate! But don't torture yourself physically either, or you won't wallow in your retirement years when they do arrive.

Live every day within a way you will subsequently cherish!

Post some more specific questions and I'll answer as best I can beside more definitive answers.

Good luck!
You can retire at any age you like. The cross-examine is do you have the finances to live comfortably.
Not if you want to collect social deposit checks. If you work for the government, next you can retire after 20 years because you have a income but most likely no social surety.
I hear you. Same boat. consider doing something else. I have cut down on hours at my standing charge. I am starting a consulting business within my pen where I am not stand on my foot all time.

I
anybody can retire at whatever age, as long as they hold the resources to fund retirement.

have you considered varying jobs, or going leisure to hopefully kep some of the income yet easing the backache? How about conversation toyour doctor about easing the distress?
There are some jobs, such as elected representatives jobs, you cant retire beforehand your 58 i think. my mom works for the gov. and she cant retire until shes around that age.
You cannot concentrate on the physical aspect but more on the financial aspect...Can your finances survive? If so, later you are golden.
no social security till, what is it presently, 65?
could try for disability.
if you have plenty pension from your assignment and could wait for social wellbeing go for it.
Only if you hold a retirement plan at our job that alloows you to retire and pays you after 20 yrs. Like a grouping job or something. There's not plentiful of those jobs around anymore. so, if you aren't aware of it, I'd bet you aren't surrounded by a retirement position. Most people aren't. You want to have plenty income to pay adjectives your bills and expenses and medical bills and insurances and that is a great deal of money. If you are sick, you may apply for disability but it takes 2-3 yrs. to bring that unless you are diagnosed with a huge disease that they can't deny you for. If your charge causes you to be sick you'd enjoy to prove that, doesn't sound similar to you can go for that. So, I don't imagine you can retire. i wish you could at lowest slow down. Try to take better consideration of yourself by eating better and getting bad your feet when it's possible and exercise to save the heart in shape. Good luck. Love coming your approach.
You can retire at 57, it'll be hard financially because you can't collect Social Security until your 62 or 65, I can't remember the age you own to be to get SS in a minute.
See my profile and what I do maybe you can work from home. They hold products that might ease your discomfort. Good Luck!
Here's something interesting. I have a home business surrounded by the health and wellness industry marketing a product that could really give support to you with your legs. I be a waitress for 25 years and thought my legs and feet would hurt forever. This product have turned my life around and presently I am into marketing it. This is something you could start to build now until it not solitary meets but surpasses your current income. The income you earn from this is residual so once you've built your business, you're getting rewarded even on days you cannot work. This could ease your cramp as well as your financial pains. It's the best move I ever made!

Career / Job Title for my Resume ?

Question:
I am trying to update my resume but am unable to opt what my job title should be. I am call a Billing/Follow-up Analyst at a hospital but I don't do that I just sit surrounded by that area. What I do is rummage in the computer, internet and books. I hold 6 or more programs up a day and I flush for information. Patient, insurance or whatever is needed to attain a claim paid. Once I find the information I nouns it into other programs in the system and after I bill the claim. I could be searching because it is incorrect or because it is not here at all. I also dig out for information from reports that has nil to do with claims -- it could a moment ago be information my supervisor wants so she hand it to me. If anyone can please help me near a title I would appriciate it I need to verbs in my art.

Answer:
Your job title should echo the truth of your job duties and emulate the title used in the opportunity you are applying for.

I would call you a Medical Billing Researcher, but that wouldn't give support to you get several jobs as most ancestors wouldn't know what it means.
Just use the the actual Title of the livelihood then when you explain underneath the charge title what you actually do affix the other stuff.
Researcher, Research Analyst or Research Consultant.
"Medical Insurance Billing Analyst"
Its more important to use memorable words in the title, afterwards you can explain the depth of your duties in the assignment description.

I'd stick with Medical Billing Analyst.

Either that or "Supreme Commander" :-))
I would recommend that you use the chore title that your employer uses. Then, briefly state exactly what you do, starting with the task(s) on which you spend the most time and working down to those tasks on which you spend the most minuscule time. Again, keep it brief. And your resume should be kept to one page if at adjectives possible.

Most important: your res must be error-free. Get someone else to proofread it for you. It is really uncomplicated to overlook mistakes.

How do you fiddle with a difficult supervisor?

Question:
My supervisor's extremely controlling, bossy, arrogant and full of herself. Believe me, I would have never permitted this position if she was within from the beginning. However, she be hired after me and I didn't anticipate this. So how do I handle her?

Answer:
Give her impossible data formerly a meeting.
Add booze to her coffee and bestow bottle in her desk.
Send anonymous emails to her boss traced backbone to her.
Report her car as stolen while she's driving it.
Steal her coffee mug and donate it in mens room.
Get her phone code and charge call to porn sites.
Super glue the inside of her desk lock.
Give her candies lace with booze.
Get to work earlier her and leave after.
Report her as an dubious to homeland security.

Here's the long of it. Have fun. People close to that usually go to proctologists for a manicure. For every incident she cause retaliate with 5. Watch to see which upset her most and remember those for adjectives use. You're going to get a great deal nambypamby try to get along answers, move about for the gusto. Like a karmakazi!
Oh yeah always blame her, she's the boss.
Once you return with this down, start thinking of what she does that affects her boss. Look for how the reporting structure there allows her to threaten him. Amplify that.
If it be my company she'd be gone. In the mean time forget something like your work. If her attitude is disruptive then it's her reprimand. She's held responsible and usually monitored.
Try not to fall on your sword. If you agree on to leave, blame her for making the situation untenable. Do it within writing to her boss with copies to hr.
It's tough, but the solely way is to suck up to her...put on this perform..she needs to gain trust beside you before she respects you. The problem near these types they want control, and you have to allow her to enjoy it first.
Just smile a lot and vote "Yes, Mam" and do what you are told, if you want to keep the post. Then pursue other avenues of work.
Suck it up while you look for another job.
She have superiors as well. If you work your butt stale and do your job, you enjoy nothing to verbs about. I construe your position as i'm currently in it as resourcefully. I have more experience that my supervisor and the relatives skills to go along next to it. Eventually, someone will shut her down if you catch my drift. Just verbs doing what you do and if she wants you to do something, do it. Let her piss past its sell-by date the wrong person. Just hang up in nearby.
Maybe she will relax when she's been contained by her position for a while. She's probably insecure and trying to establish control and prove to the staff that she is qualified for the job. Just try to discount the obnoxious behavior, do your job as ably as you can, be courteous and respectful - professional. Working with difficult race (bosses and peers) is always a urge. The best advice I can bestow you is that even the nastiest boss appreciates a great employee. If it's a situation that you freshly cannot tolerate then I don`t know you should ask for a transfer or look for a tentative job. Don't put down on your clean job application that you're going away due to the fact that you didn't resembling your old boss tho - or throw stones at her - because your trial boss will be interviewing you and she/he may perceive you as a difficult employee.
It take all kind of people to brand this world. Bossy bosses are all over. Since you call for the job I suggest you correction your attitude towards her. Otherwise your days will be hell! Should the situation be so bad that you can only just take it, speak near your Human Resources Department and find out if you can be transferred to another department. Bad mouthing your bossy supervisor is a no-no! You can give your motivation that you want to do something more challenging.
Been within, done that...

It depends on how bossy and controlling she is. If you can get by only just doing your job in need working a lot of overtime due to her demands, purely nod your head and smile to yourself. You will never variation her; you can only swing how you react to her.

Most HR departments and hard work boards expect that you do the following:
You should approach her (if you can) to let her know how you get the impression. If you get nowhere next to her, go to her supervisor to pursue this further. Continue following the proper lines of communication until you draw from satisfaction.

If she is really cause you problems--abuse, harassment--contact someone you can trust who is in a position over her, and if they do not produce results, complain to your ministry of work or human rights commission.

Question:
I am in the middle of a HUGE employment application. It is an administrative assistant position, and one of the question is if I had experience beside "10 Key". What is that???

Answer:
the number pad of a calculator, computer etc...

Good luck!
Using the number wipe on the far right side of the computer.
Basically, that's the numeric keypad on the right side of the keyboard near the Num Lock off.
number key on the computer like 1- 9
utter yes

you are typing on a keyboard, its that piece of the keyboard on the right next to 10 keys near numbers on it
10 key refers to the layout that you would find on an accumulation machine. The little square of numbers beside a 0 at the bottom. Can you use it without looking at the key? is what they want to know.
it's the kep pad article on the right side of your keyboard that have the numbers - it's for data entry
If you enjoy to ask this question? You are not qualified for the available job.
In the "old days" it be a special calculator that used keys. Now it a short time ago means that you are breakneck at using your extended key wad or number pad.
It's an calculation machine that frequent accounting office use. It uses those little rolls of video, like lolly register tape. Accountants normally "run a tape" to balance a load of items (like a week's payroll or a bunch of receipts.) Just like a nippy typist, they can enter numbers into the machine lacking looking at it.

Most places now use spreadsheets, but some office still want 10-key skills.
