A college graduate should have more opportunity than walking along looking for HELP wanted signs. No spoil in doing it, obviously, but I have some better concept for you. You state that you are not a very conversational person (and I decision there be more people approaching you!), but you'll have to communicate effectively to arrive a job. Why not practice right in a minute by opening your Yellow Pages and cold calling places of business and ask them if they could use some sustain? This will open some doors for you, and pass you some practice in communicating. I'm a don and wanted to work unpaid one summer. I cold called as I suggested and land TWO part-time job within one week. You can clearly do the same... only just don't be bashful in making plenty of phone call, and if you hear "We're not hiring", just say-so "Thanks" and go on to the subsequent call. I believe I made around a hundred call before I land several interviews... the more interviews you get, the more you'll be capable of practice. My alma matre offers facilitate with interviewing technique for a very low payment and I'll bet yours does, too... you should take them up on it. Doesn't event that you've been gone four years... you're division of the Alumni now. You might also want to connect your Alumni organization and do some network... a powerful tool far better than roaming the streets looking for HELP wanted signs. Go back to your temp agency. Keep temping. Before you know it one of the sites you work at will want to hire you. Thats how I get my job... and I close to to think I am exceedingly succesfull now.

I would suggest to find a company you want to work for, research the company, and ask to talk to a supervisor/manager. Tell that individual why you want to work for their company. If you dress/act professionally, and sell yourself economically - you'll probably get the undertaking. If you're worried about your communication skills - pilfer a communications course at a local college - they often educate you the interview process, etc. and you play act it through beside your classmates. That could be one thing you could do. Maybe you could hit the local malllots of stores surrounded by a concentrated location, and there may be a stipulation for some salespeople. But you'd still have to interview near somebody, no matter what the employment. You don't have to be overly chatty or vibrant. But you DO need to be sure of yourself and your ability. And you need to know how to converse, smile, and shake hands close to an adult . It sounds to me resembling your self esteem could use a good dose of pick-me-up. That might sustain you succeed in interviews.
