Is It OK to Ask How Much is Going to Be Paid Per Hour? (I'm Applying For a Job over the Internet)?
Question:
or will that seem rude, and sort me seem money-hungry?
I didn't take an interview yet, im of late saying is it ok to ask that give somebody the third degree? (I'll do it over e-mail)
Answer:
I think the best channel to go is to not bring it up until they receive an offer to you for the career. Then you will be able to negotiate a wage, or turn the duty down.
edit: Why not bid the place without giving your label, and ask what the starting wage is?
It is usually not a good perception to ask about money when applying for a career. Wait until they call you for an interview, later ask the pay reach at the end of the interview.
It's commonly believed that the individual who brings up the salary first loses - out-of-date wives tale but it repeatedly does seem to follow this stencil - so let them say aloud it first.
Anyone know anything something like IT career?
Question:
What type of degree do you have need of? Advantages and disadvantages? Do you have a profession in this area, if so doing what? What type of salary?
Answer:
You necessitate to have a BS contained by computer science or similar subject.
There are a lot of IT job that go blank every year because of unavailability of qualified local candidates. Salaries are some of the best within the industry depending on how much experience you have.
Disadvantage- IT job have started to be outsourced to other countries because of low cost of labor.
I know that you hold to keep up next to the latest trends to bring back the highest wages. You should definatly specialize surrounded by one area while your contained by college such as .net programming, or java programming. Also look at what is hot right very soon and try it out and see if you like it. Once you exit college and start looking for a job, you will be suprised by how masses different types of IT jobs are out here. Everything from helpdesk, to cobol programmer fall below this title. Good luck.
I have a amount in Communications next to a minor in sociology.
I am currently a Network Engineer. In the $92K-$97K inventory.
I really wouldn't really worry nearly what degree you earn contained by college. Though it can help, the authentic experience/education employers are looking for is WORK experience.
To some level, even professional certifications (MSCE, CCNA, CNA, etc.) really don't tell you if a entity is qualified for a position.
The most important entity is that you really understand the technology you work near, in relation to the overall IT environment/architecture you're within. That will come with time and experience.
Sure, have a degree surrounded by a related field, beside all the professional certs. do not hurt...but are they surely mandatory? No. You're most likely to go and get an interview if you have adjectives these things, but in the pause, it all boils down to your skillsets and core competencies.
Good Luck!
I own an IT degree from an online university and I'm an IT Project superior for a major hill. I'm only 25 and a womanly with curb years of experience.
So the advantage is entry stratum jobs are available close to mine starting at $50,000. Very much advancement for growth and traveling. Most companies pay for their team to go final to school. I'm probably gonna be in motion get my MBA within IT management.
disadvantage: living market is exceedingly competitive, no matter if you enjoy the best degree surrounded by the world, you SKILLS matter the most. If you hold the right skills for the right job, you obtain hired. Most of the work is consulting so it can be temporary or enduring. I dont notice too frequent females.
If I had to do it over again, I would still primary in IT. Its really rewarding.

Getting a full time brief next to no HS Diploma?
Question:
Ok my co-worker dropped out of HS and has no HS Diploma, but is immediately going to summer school to draw from her HS Diploma. We work for Ford (I have my HS Diploma), she doesn't, but we both want to walk out our current job as hours are a core issue. I already have a investigational job wrinkled up but she is wondering where she can work that would hire her short her HS Diploma, keeping in mind that she is going to capture it at the end of this summer (assuming she passes) Does anyone know where on earth she could work that would pay at tiniest $7.50 (SHE IS BI-LINGUAL, SPANISH) that is not hurriedly food related?
Answer:
She could move to Vermont, California, Connecticut, Oregon, Washington, or Massachussetts. They all enjoy minimum wages of at least $7.50. (There are even a couple more states that are going to increase their minimum wages as okay to 7.50 in a couple months, Michigan is going to 7.15 within July then to 7.40 subsequent year).
http://www.latpro.com/ seems to hold a good brief database available for spanish/english speaking people, but I will hold to agree with the concluding person who answered that getting that GED/Diploma will be crucial first.
There's also: www.hispanic-jobs.com
But that one seem more keyed towards ancestors who have further teaching past dignified school.
Good Luck to your friend, and hope she get her diploma.
A person is not going to find a clothed job short at least a GED. Not gonna ensue, unless you start your own business somehow. Get it first, and then walk out the present job.
She really wants to get a GED to return with a job beside better pay. I know someone who dropped out of university in 12th echelon (even though he was extremely smart), and have to work in fast-food until he get his GED.
Now, he has worked his means of access up to a station manager at a gas station (and he's with the sole purpose 23), and is going to college part-time.
It can be done.
: )
Getting her GED is defining, but work experience is more important. She can bring a job contained by customer service, production, warehouses I don`t know even telemarketing. She will probably have an easier time working for a small company where on earth they will work with her on her skills. Or a colossal company where childhood has more to do next to the job at paw, and is considered a bonafide requirement.
Her best bet is to tough it out until she get's her GED. But a lot of companies will hire culture without.

Is it too in arrears to start completely over??
Question:
If I don't already have my teaching and career within my 30s, is it too late to start over? I miserable, with years of lessons ahead, is it worth it to change your work when I'm already in my 30s? Doesn't the available job market look down upon behind career starters?
Answer:
This query is faced by thousands of populace every year. I did myself when I retired from the Air Force. You are trying to start a new art just similar to I did a few years back.
Take a look at the website below. There is a totally large percentage of elder Federal employees that will be retiring contained by the next few years. Most Federal agencies are doing a highest review of who will still be working; most are hiring in some of the start pay grades immediately so there are empire ready to move up when the retirements really start coming.
It is not too in arrears. And if you do nothing very soon, you will be that much further away from happiness five years from very soon.
Good Luck!

Enjoy the Ride!
I am not sure if that is so, but my inference:
If you are unhappy presently then it is categorically better to change career than stay and be unhappy. Better deferred than never! You go for it!
it is never to slowly to start over, it is just harder than when you are young-looking. If you don't start now, will you read aloud this again in 5 years?
Follow your dreams.
Its not to past due if its what you want.
You can take online courses while still have your current job.
its never to behind
Never too late to start over.
It's never too overdue! Many people enjoy started over into their 50's, 60's, and 70's.
If you start over now, conceivably by the time you are 40 you will have a art you really enjoy. When you start over, consider the certainty that, at 40, you will still have 25 years to work at the work of your choice.
I was 48 when I started the occupation I really loved.
I'm doing this right now!
After person self-employed for 15 years I'm looking to get a 'real job' to income the bills while I manage my investments. I'm in the order of your age (late 30's) and it's been a indisputable challenge overcoming my doubts and fears roughly speaking my age and employability.
The reality is that you are right at the threshhold of your uppermost earning years. Your experience and later life will pay bad in concrete ways if you manage them correctly. For instance: If you spent the ultimate 10 years running a team of gardeners for a meadow care service you be still a MANAGER IN A CUSTOMER SERVICE COMPANY WITH A STAFF OF 10 working directly to resolve client issues!
Getting the training you need to step up to the subsequent level is a great investment IMHO. Even if you don't gain your dream job to start near, you are going to be first in strip to be promoted because you're presumed to be more trustworthy and mature than a 20 year weak that was doing beer bongs at the frat house solely months before.
I've be getting great responses to my resume, and I expect to be working soon. After getting past my imaginative fears, I am shocked and amazed by what is out there if you look!
Good luck!
It is really not too late to start over. I did not too long ago. I work from home beside a company that manufactures products that we’re already buying elsewhere, but they are better, safer & in good health. We just support set up customer accounts and the company pays us to do so. We set our own hours and work as little or as long as we want. It is a wonderful opportunity and has really benefited our family unit. The best part is, here is no financial risk involved. Question:
what do the following words mean and where on earth can i use them in a sentance???
discrepancies?
anticipated sale?
delegate?
Answer:
In one sentence: Our anticipated sale had several discrepancies so contract out some authority and figure out what happen.
Discrepancies mean Inconsistency and difference
Discrepancies between Bush and bliar.
Anticipated Dutch auction mean that you axpcted Dutch auction.
my anticipated sale for month of January is one million Dollar
Delegated close-fisted you give you autority or power to some one else. close to your agent etc
Show the DELEGATE your ANTICIPATED SALES figures. Make sure within are no DISCREPANCIES.
We have found that your damp squib to properly delegate responsibilities to the sale staff has resulted contained by serious discrepancies between this quarter's anticipated sales and the actual sale production, resulting in a lattice loss. You're fired!
discrepancies - results that turn out much differently than expected
anticipated sales - prediction of Dutch auction that will occur as of a extraordinary date, used for budgeting and planning.
delegate - as a verb, verbs or spread the work load . . . as a noun, a personage representing a particular point of vista at a convention.
What I can above and beyond merely the middle-of-the-road THANK YOU data following a assignment interview?
Question:
I have hear of others sending gift baskets and such. This is the biggest possibility of my trade (big money, big money, big opportunities). Any suggestions?
Answer:
Don't send something that scream SUCK UP on it (and yes gift baskets, bottles of wine, etc. do in recent times that).
Write handwritten notes to everyone; personalize them to the details of conversation you have...don't make them the generic "thank yo for your time, I appreciate your perspective (blah)".
Make them awfully specific to the conversation you had beside each individual here, and then attach any an article from a newspaper or a magazine specifically related..and then connect the twoin some bearing, show that the person have an impact on you and that you continued to reflect on the dialogue AFTER you disappeared. They'll feel significant and meaningfulnot sucked up to. People who hire frequently actually gain immune to the "same ole, same ole".and they hate thought that people singular like them for their role contained by hiring. To feel resembling you connected beyond the role of hiring is to make a material connection--so create one!
DO NOT SEND A GIFT BASKET!! Many companies are not allowed to lug gifts of any form, and it would leave the interviewer within an awkward situation.
Send a bang up thank you details over email or put it on a personal letter herald. I personally resembling them over email because I can see how proactive the person is, did they convey it two days later, or right when they get home. Reference your work history and how it relates to the job. Remind them of your skills sets. And if it's a sale job, pester the heck out of the sale manager for a conclusion (it shows you have follow up skills). Don't pester anyone else, that freshly get's annoying, and you will lose your chances for the undertaking.
Help needed, I chew over I might want/need to renovation my central surrounded by university.?
Question:
I am currently a Math/Economics double major within university at a private school. For a long time I thought I looked-for to be an actuary, but now I'm have some trouble with some of the math. In tally, I also want to eventually open a bar/club and I have need of the skills to be able to do that. Does anyone know a degree/major that would train me beside the business skills needed both to be an actuary and to possibly open my own dowel?
Answer:
You didn't mention what year in college you are, so I don't know if it's practical for you to change majors.
There's no course that's going to drill you how to own a bar; what you inevitability are business classes. Drop one of your majors and add Business. That will furnish you a general business overview, which will minister to you if/when you own your own business.
I am applying for a current situation beside my current employer. How do I grasp an fold over other applicants?
Question:
For one reason or another I haven't really be able to prove my worth within the post I occupy now and this I believe disadvantages me.
If I am going to bring this job I am really going to enjoy to shine in the application and the interview.
I would appreciate your suggestions.
Answer:
The certainty that you are an internal candidate will abet. Employers like to hire relatives they know.
If you have not made a serious challenge in your current position or your supervisors enjoy not noticed your hard work, you might have to work pretty easier said than done to convince them.
Be sure to talk in the order of your accomplishments. Have you improved anything? Has productivity increased? Morale? Increased sale?
Although you'll have the limit over other outside applicants, the management might get the impression that they will want to bring in unmarked blood or know someone who they know will prove their worth this new position. Treat it similar to any other interview, but use your knowledge and confidence with the operation to your advantage.
In house applicants other have the perimeter. Don't worry lately be yourself.
What ever you do don't kiss his ***.
As an employer, and considering all applicants are quallified for the duty, I would have to influence confidence and a personality are my push button feature that I look for. meander in near a big smile wanting to be there and don't try and be somthing your not. As much as some culture think in attendance good actor there not and we see right through that.
Those "one purpose or another(s)" are critical now. Why haven't you proven yourself to date? Attendance issues? Not getting along next to the boss or coworkers? Quality of work? Be honest with yourself just about what didn't go right.
Now that you know, be prepared to look after those issues in your interview. you already enjoy an edge over outside applicants because you know the company, the processes, the relatives. Make sure your resume/application is letter spotless; type the application if possible a bit than hand writing it, use spell check, use a sans-serif font for legibility.
Think more or less the questions you're promising to be asked in the interview and practice what your answers will be so you nouns smooth instead of dodgy.
Come up with a index of accomplishments that are measurable - you reduced costs by $x by switching to a new brand of copier treatise; you improved power by x% by instituting a work check system; whatever you can come up beside.
If the other applicants are internal and you know who they are, this may also give you an profit. You don't want to blatantly compare yourself against them in an interview ("you should hire me instead of Fred because..."), but you can of course mention areas that are strengths for you and known weakness for other candidates ("I bring in it a point to submit my reports punctually".)
it goes minus saying that you'll dress professionally near appropriate grooming, accessories, etc.
Good luck!

It depends if you have scooping experience.
You will cause more if you know how to serve big hollow scoops, versus one giving away product to be exact solid.
Also, if you have a sprinkles technician credentials, you can make upto .05/hr more. That is resembling holding the employer hostage, it is.
Also, you should know the jargon, approaching 'Time to lean, time to clean", and how to always appear busy.
And don't forget to other say you a short time ago washed your hand after using the bathroom.
You have rather the future planned

Has ne ever worked for wal-mart? how be it?
Question:
Answer:
Well...a co-worker of mine told me that he used to work for Wal-Mart. They 'fired' him for 'wasting company time' or some crap, when he clocked in a couple of minutes untimely one day. Now, I wasn't near...that's just what he told me. Sounds resembling something a retail place would pull, though...especially if they don't similar to somebody and try to find some petty way to receive rid of them or blame them for something.
I do work in Retail...not for WalMart...but it might as very well be just as rough. Some customers are really nice...I'm a Technology Sales Specialist and own to interact with a great deal of people respectively day, explaining to them how products work, getting 'tech support' question that I'm not really supposed to be there to answer as bit of my job, etc. All within the name of customer service...whether it's your 'job' exactly, or not. All so that the company keep the customers no matter what.
I've have so many psycho customers...empire who just come across so helpless that they can't (or rather, don't want to) surmise for themselves. Others who try to con their way out of products...thieve who try every trick in the book to steal something or somehow dispute prices. I've see just almost everything...lol Among the best places to work in such a place would be...some type of admin or electronics. Or perhaps the automotive, meadow and garden, etc. A position where 'recovery' is not horrendous...departments that aren't as popular and relations won't trash them as much. Our recovery at the running out of the day at the retail place I work at...can sometimes be pretty desperate and take a long time. You'd unequivocally want to stay away from clothing (softlines)...that would be like a vendetta to try to fold adjectives of those clothes customers just look at, orb up and throw down in the wrong place.
First, reread your cross-question, then you try and answer it.
nope and dont plan on it
